Quite a bit of plane wreckage-and body parts were found on the roof of the neaby Marriot Hotel, but No planers again insist the wreckage was planted, or never existed...

I don't spend my time obsessed with debunking Truthers- i just figured since I was in the 9/11 Conspiracies part of this message board, i could contribute something....As for those ghost hunter tv shows...funny should should mention it, I saw an episode recently, and was struck at how fake it was...A creak in the floorboard, or some muffleled noise makes them convinced ghosts are about. I think in due time SyFy Channel's main ghost trackers show (and the copycat shows) will be discredited. After all that fraud medium John Edward (who had the insipid 'Crossing Over' on sci fi channel) was exposed as a pure charlatan...
Anyway, sorry if my thread is old hat, I could just stick to reading the threads of others, and figure out which topics are the most interesting. Thanks for the feedback.


I'm a lifelong Titanic reseacher...and there is a conspiracy within that community that is...interesting- in that the Titanic never sank (and it was actually her near identical sister ship Olympic, deliberately rammed into the iceberg in an insurance scam).
At least 2 books have been written that promotes this conspiracy...The authors are dismissed as crackpots..

there is the therory that the shipbuilder secretly and deliberately used inferior grade steel in construction to save money..that ties into the 'brittle steel theory', but that has since been tested and rejected

Titanic was constructed in the years when the shipbuilding industry was changing from iron to steel and Titanic was to be made of steel. There is a historian that has evidence that a load of iron rivets were used by mistake and they failed when steel rivets would have held.

I'm almost certain there are deniers that would make the claim there was no iceberg. Every CT comes with someone willing to make the most outrageous claims in order to draw attention to themselves. Comes with the territory as they say. Most of them are flinging poop, why would they stop to consider what it smells like?

I remember there was a truther at Killtown's old forum, screen name was Lord Tunguska or something, who claimed that the Titanic disaster was engineered by the Jesuits. Does anybody remember that guy? He was always obsessed with Jesuits and how they "controlled everything." I think perhaps he had an unpleasant experience as an altar boy or something.

As to the OP. I think, as others have stated before, that all truthers are no-planers to a certain degree. The four planes that crashed on 9/11 are impossible for them to dismiss as the cause of the destruction of that day. All of their insane theories label one or more of the planes as either being nonexistant or unable to cause all of the damage done.

In full agreement with and merely to add to what Rebel said, it's not about truth for them, it's about ego. It's the feeling of superiority they get by being the only ones who "get it" and "have it all figured out". The rest of the world is caught in the matrix and they are the only ones who can break out of their cocoons and offer salvation to everyone! It offers them the ability to be the hero, which is so obviously lacking in their lives, and also to be able to see what apparently no one else in the world can.

Not every "truther" is such a lowlife. There are certainly many who come on here and can offer at least civil debates. But no planers! Well, in the words of Penn Gilletee, that's a special kind of @##%&*!

I suspect the WTC No Planers are a small minority fringe within the Truther movement, but the Pentagon and PA 'No Planers' seem to dominate their numbers- Most Truthers don't believe a plane went down in PA, and think the phone calls from the plane were fake- Then what do they think happened to the plane ? Do the PA no planers think the plane never existed, or it was landed somewhere else?
Most Truthers I've met insist a jet plane did not hit the Pentagon, so they are also 'No planers' in my book....

This is not correct. No Planers make a sizable percentage of Truthers, perhaps even a majority. But it depends on how we define the 'Truth Movement'.

The most active group that could be included in the Truth Movement is We Are Change. However, WAC promotes many brainless ideas in addition to 911 Truth. I include them in my discussions of the Truth Movement because they are what people here are referring to when they talk about demonstrations and protests. In fact, they are pretty much the only sign of 911 Truth outside the internet.

But as you point, on the net, a very large number of Truthers remain No Planers. Net-based Truthers who sit in their mom's basement pounding out posts on websites that no one reads are what most people here mean when they refer to the Truth Movement, although they probably never take part in public demonstrations. For example, the CIT brood appear to be No Planers. They post veraciously and make huge video presentations.They spend vast amounts of time searching for evidence that supports their ideas. Dealing with them consumes huge amounts of time for the members of JREF. They would never appear in a 911 Truth demonstration because they are organized by WAC who are not no planers, but they are much more representative of people whose lives are filed with 911 Truth.
