I'm a newbie, this is my first thread..This is a great site! If there is already an established 'No Planers' thread,my apologies....
First off, I think the idea that 9/11 was an inside job is absurd- To date '9/11 Truthers' have produced zero concrete evidence to support their claims, and much of what that have put forward has been totally discredited.
Plus what would be the objective? What could possibly be gained from an inside job? How would America benefit from secretly attacking itself? Interesting how 9 years on, no paper trail has surfaced, and no whistle blowers have emerged from a 'conspiracy' that would have needed thousands of participants. When pressed to provide proof, 'Truthers' usually jump to another 9/11 conspiracy, or accuse us of being government agents. Then they argue they don't need to back their claims.
THE most absurd conspiracy theory I have yet heard within the '9/11 Truther' movement is of the 'No Planers' who argue that no planes hit the World Trade Center. THOUSANDS of people in New York and New Jersey saw the planes hit!!!! Often the usual rabid anti-Semetism of the Truthers somes into full display, several of which I have encounded who argued most of New York was in on it, as they claim 'The city is filled with Jews'
For awhile, I couldn't believe these 'No Planers' were serious. I know most 'Truthers' doubt a plane went down in PA or Washington DC- despite ample evidence that planes did indeed go down- but how in Earth could they doubt planes crashed into the World Trade Center, given the number of eye witnesses and video footage? Easy- The no planers insist there were no witnesses, and the video footage is all fake. Their proof? Well, these are ''9/11 Truthers', they don't think they need proof...
Even some '9/11 Truthers' dismissed the 'No Planers'- I actually found myself agreeing with some 'Truthers' who didn't swallow the No planer theories , and argued that the 'No Plane theorists are really on a 'disinformation campaign' to discredit all Truthers as being nutcases (as if they need help to prove that)- but there ARE Truthers who think all the footage of planes hitting the WTC is fake (where is the proof?)
How does one debate with such stupidlty?? I have debated several of these people, who insisted NOBODY in New York and Newe Jersey saw planes hit the towers. I cited a dozen links to first person accounts of people who saw the planes hit, but without even reading the accounts, the 'No Planers' insisted those stories were all 'Lies'. I pointed out the scores of photos of pieces of plane debris photographed at street level, and 'No Planers' dismiss the photos as fake, or the debris having been planted. (And of course, they have ZERO proof.)
I was not in NY on 9/11, but I'm from Boston, and have met a good half dozen people who knew someone on the the planes, and their friends were never seen again after 9/11, or were recovered in pieces at the site.
The No Planers of course argue that the planes never existed, and the passenger list was made up. What proof do they have?
'9/11 Truthers' seem unable to engage in critical thinking- they present an argument, but without any proof to back their claims. They already have a conclusion, and are trying to cherrypick any information to back their delusions...
I chatted with one '9/11 Truther' online who felt the no planers wre absurd, and his take was :
'The idea that no planes hit the World trade Center is ridiculous- What in fact happened was that the planes were being controlled by remote control'.
Is this any less absurd?
Check out some of the videos on Youtube by people who think no planes hit the WTC, and that all the video footage of the crashes were fakes.
They offer ZERO proof! It makes me wonder if mental illness is widespread within the '9/11 Truther' movement
