My First Conspiracy Theory This "Terrorist Attack" is a set up

Ok I haven't been following the news much, I went down to the pub to grab a pint and lo and behold it turns out the country is upside down freaking out over two failed Terror attacks on airplanes. On the tail end of this I hear Joe Liberman is screetching about how we need to preemptively strike Yemen.

To me the whole thing is a set up. The guy they were showing pictures of as the "terrorist" could have been from anywhere.

Is there any sort of rumbling in the works other than my Bass inspired Epiphany?:j2:

Wrong forum, innit?

Also, shouldn't you gather this thing ...

I forgot how it is called ...

Ah yes. Evidence!

Yeah, shouldn't you present evidence to try and convince us?

No, isn't that how conspiracy theories work. The evidence is hidden so it doesn't matter anyway.

And yeah I realized it's in the wrong forum.

Clearly a false flag attack to support the continuing war in 'stan

Right! That's what I think. I was blown away (excuse the pun) when I saw Liberman's "preemptive crap."

I think the "terrorists" in these cases are CIA plants or FBI or whoever does that these days.

[allcaps]Impossible!

To even consider the might of our hundred year old propaganda machine could orchestrate one guy on an airplane is unthinkable and you are insane for suggesting it.[/allcaps]

You must prove unequivocally that this has in fact taken place and the CIA must be taken to trial and the case must be decided against them before you're anything but a disgusting crackpot truther and you're probably a minority too.

Not the CIA. Blackwater, buying insurance for their lucrative contracts.

Hmm, how is Blackwater doing under Obama? Weren't they supposed to only get contracts due to political connections with Cheney?

Not that I necessarily support any claims made in this thread, but assuming it was a conspiracy, what are the odds that some person posting to the JREF would have the ability to gain access to evidence of the sort you are asking for?

Conspiracy theorists don't do evidence.

Exactly my friend.:hit:

No but seriously I don't know if it's because I don't watch television but when I went out to the pub today and saw the media frenzy over the alleged terrorist attack I had an inner churchlady moment of "how conveeeeeeeeeeeeenient"

I'll admit I did too. Doesn't mean I have real evidence for it, or even believe it (honestly, don't really care one way or the other). But it is mighty convenient scare-mongering...

No one was really hurt, but it left the impression that we are all at risk - and on christmas even! :eye-poppi

:D

Yeah but that's only cause people could tell he wasn't gonna pass as no Abdulalla Muhallajereeeah Aslim.

See, your first mistake was going to a pub to watch news insteaqd of a sporting event.

It's my understanding the second guy was just ill, stayed in the bathroom for an hour and cursed at the stewards who asked him to come out. I'm pretty sure he's been released and not charged with any plane attack.

Lieberman has really turned out to be a right wing hawkish jerk. I suspect it has to do with pleasing his Jewish base, or being one or both. He seems to have the view we should bomb the Arab community out of existence.

As for the first guy being a fabricated person, that is absurd. The conspiracy would have to involve all the people on the plane and the hospital they took the guy too for his burns. And what would be the point?
