Maia, I'm not sure that amount of self inflicted abuse is well, frankly, healthy.
Still, it's your head you gotta cope with, I guess, and your bravery is to be admired...![]()

I'm at home with kidney stones and taking lots of Lortabs. It all seems to be seen through a haze...
Anyway, on page 83 is a really, really bad poem about an atheist and a theist arguing.
What kind of a place allows you to update your thesis? The thesis is what you submit in order to get your degree. The committee reads it, shreds it, you put it back together to satisfy them, they accept it, they grant you a degree. Once it's accepted, it's in the library system and out of your hands, regardless of how ashamed you may be of it three years later.
My dissertation was originally about 100 pages. I continued adding material and it grew to 250 pages. Over the last 10 years I have constantly been adding material. It is now many hundreds of pages and will be put into book form as time permits. (1-16-00, Skip Evans email)

Huh. I really thought this one was the Green Hills Mall in Nashville.
Anyway, I also read the critique of Hovind's thesis, and it pretty much says it all. Except that if want to quote it without his permission, we can (she didn't), because we're doing so for the purpose of satire.![]()
Wow...on page 73 he actually says that the reason America has so few science students is because they're being taught evolution in school. What does he think they're teaching in other countries?
Is the second the Beinecke Rare Book Library at Yale? I should go visit since my mother lives near it. I've seen the outside but never the inside. It glows at night and is quite beautiful.Guess which of these is Patriot Bible University:

"Why is it that all of recorded history happened in the last four thousand years?"
I'm pretty sure it didn't.
Obiviously there are older examples of writing around but they tend to max out at 5 to 6 thousand years old.
Thats a slightly tricky one. The problem is the term "recorded history". What we would recognise as history only goes back about 2500 years to Herodotus and Thucydides.

I put it at about 16,000 years old, though there are huge gaps in the historical record up until 5 or 6 thousand years ago. ;
But...but...the dating methods used to date the fossils are unstable etc. etc. No fossil is more than 6000 years old.But, fossils don't max out for some billions of years.
