JFK assassination debate

I don't really enjoy trivializing the guys death like this but a small entry wound and a much larger exit wound trauma is exactly what I expect from the sort of gun used. It also gives some idea of the direction the shot came from. The shots came from behind him :\

I am actually unfamiliar with a lot of the claims that go through this CT, but based on the little bit I have seen of the CT movies on this seems like a 1990's Kennedy incarnation of Loose Change

All of your sources have no standing in fact.

1. Show me proof
2. Why don´t you take someone who worked at the ARRB seriously? ARRB was the third investigation, after WC and HSCA?

Thirteen years in the making, Douglas Horne's five-volume magnum opus is soon to be published, and will be available for sale here at the Mary Ferrell Foundation website.

Douglas Horne headed the
Military Records Team on
the ARRB staff.Doug Horne served as Chief Analyst for Military Records on the staff of the Assassination Records Review Board during the 1990s; the ARRB was responsible for the declassification of a great many of the files on this website. Horne played a major role in the Review Board's work on the medical evidence in the JFK assassination, preparing questions for depositions and helping elicit some stunning testimony from medical witnesses and writing several important internal research memos on the issues raised.

According to chemical bullet analysis the Lone- Gunman- Theory is not that compelling:

Well, if the idea of LHO being the lone gunman was based solely on the neutron activation analysis, then this might make it less compelling. But with all the other evidence, it makes the LGT about 0.01% less compelling. My estimation is that the LGT was already 99.8% compelling, so this news brings that down to about 99.79%.

It's not saying that the fragments came from different bullets; it's just saying that we can't be so sure as we thought we were that they came from the same bullet. Everything is still consistent with a single bullet.

Warren Commission Report. Get it and read it. All of it.

Warren Commission is out of date. WC was not supposed to find the truth, but to convince the public there was no conspiracy at all cost.

Katzenbach Memo:

""The public must be satisfied that Oswald was the assassin; that he did not have confederates who are still at large; and that evidence was such that he would have been convicted at trial.""

"In some of the phone calls that week, LBJ alluded to the possibility of 40 million Americans dying in a nuclear exchange with the Soviet Union. This fear was apparently related to the issue of Oswald’s visit to Mexico City and the allegations of Communist conspiracy emanating from that city. A phone call with Senator Russell on November 29 adds light to the story of how LBJ convinced Chief Justice Earl Warren to serve despite Warren’s great reluctance. "

Or simply watch the BBC production Beyond Conspiracy.

ETA: I should note that the Warren Commission Report still leaves room for a conspiracy. They didn't find evidence of anyone talking Oswald into shooting the President, but concluded that it was possible. Such a conspiracy would not require additional gunmen or Oswald being innocent.

The cottage industry of conspiracy crap relies on the imprecise conclusion of the WCR, but any reasonable person reading the report can easily see that given the circumstances of the times, the conclusion is valid, despite any lapses in the methods.
The crazies, from Lane on, have exploited the gullibilities of the easily frightened/fearful of the gummint into accepting without question all of the alternatives which conflict with each other as well as the WCR, to the point of absurdities.

This documentary ignores important facts. For example: THE GARRISON Case

In any serious and scholarly presentation of the Garrison inquiry today, one would have to include the fact that there have been reams of documents discovered that alter the calculus of a factual database to draw from. This, of course, is why books like Kirkwood's are obsolete today. The Assassination Records Review Board (ARRB) did a good enough job in trying to secure the files of, and related to, the Garrison investigation. One source of new material were the files left behind by Garrison in the DA's office. These were held by the man who succeeded him, Harry Connick. These are files I located myself in 1994 before the ARRB was seriously afoot. When I interviewed Connick about these five file cabinets—which I knew about from an HSCA memo—he was unaware that he held them. He had to call in an assistant to confirm that he did. The reason he was unaware of the presence of these files is quite interesting.

As time has gone on, the Clinton-Jackson incident has gained both more credibility and more importance in studies of the Kennedy assassination. I refer of course to the famous sighting of Clay Shaw, David Ferrie and Oswald in late summer of 1963 in two small towns in sparsely populated East Feliciana Parish. This location is approximately 115 miles or 90 minutes north of New Orleans. As was the case with many JFK assassination occurrences, Jim Garrison was the first official to seriously investigate this intriguing affair. Since it shows Oswald in close proximity with two people he is not supposed to know-and who would blow his Marxist cover-the Warren Commission doesn't mention it. The FBI knew about it through witness Reeves Morgan (Davy, p. 103). , the Bureau acted on it. (Bugliosi cannot admit this because, as we shall see in Part Nine of this series, he is actually going to vouch for J. Edgar Hoover's investigation of JFK's murder.)

Evidence of someone pretending to be Oswald

The Fourteen Minute Gap

Rex E. Bradford

April 10, 2000

During Watergate, one of the more important events was the discovery of an “eighteen minute gap” on one of the Nixon tapes. This erasure, reportedly performed by Presidential secretary Rose Mary Woods on Nixon’s orders, created quite a stir when revealed. It was never determined what in fact had been erased, which added to the mystery of the affair.

This article presents my discovery of a second such tape erasure, this one of a phone conversation conducted between President Johnson and FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover less than 24 hours after the assassination of President Kennedy. The erasure in this case is about 14 minutes in length, somewhat shorter than the Nixon gap. The Johnson tape is different in one other significant respect—a transcript of the conversation survived the erasure. It is in my view the true “smoking gun” tape of modern American history.

Simplicissimus wins teh internets by spamming four giant walls of text.

Yet he fails in coming up with an even remotely plausible conspiracy theory here. Why am I not surprised. Why do CTs think that posting ream after ream of debunked nonsense helps them?

It's a classic symptom of mental illness; doing the same thing over and over again, under the same exact conditions, and expecting different results.

1. Show me how my material has been debunked
2. Claiming I had no plausible theory is cowardice and laziness to read my material.

If you ignore FBI- evidence someone imposting Oswald called the soviet and cuban embassies in Mexico City....

or that the CIA infiltrated Garrison´s staff, bribed witnesses and journalist to destory him...
