Jennifer Lopez is in a commercial ADVOCATING for perstussis vaccination!!!

She played the sound of a child coughing and suffering with pertussis. She rattled off some actual FACTS!

My mouth was hanging so far open, that I didn't hear much of what she said, or I'd happily write it here, but I'm sill happily in shock.
 
Not just any pertussis vaccine - the adult pertussis vaccine, too!

Thank FSM, some good news for a change! The amount of lameness is overwhelming right now so its really refreshing to hear about this. Hopefully this message resonates with some people.
 
Didn't Amanda Peet also do an advert that was of the reality and fact based kind in regards to vaccines?
 
OK I officially love J Lo. I've suddenly found myself very upset after watching that - I had pertussis for 3 months when I was 3 and it's brought back all the memories of spending hours on end with the feeling of being unable to breathe - it was terrifying.
 
Intelligence and Hollywood success are not mutually exclusive - it just seems that way most of the time.
 
But for some unknown reason people tend to listen to celebrities more than people who do actually know and have umpteen million years of experience in their fields. Damned scientists and doctors. What do they know.
 
And is the pertussis vaccine a shot that is best given in the butt?

So, why aren't any of these ladies on Ograh or Larry King? Reality and facts too hard to sensationalize? Saving lives too boring?
 
Cuz antivaxxers never play off the emotions of parents, nope nope! I know one in my life that totally accused me of poisoning my children and calling me a bad parent. No emotion involved at all! We are no longer friends. She is scared that "the vax will shed onto her kids". Also, that baby shaker, Yurko, is teh picture of innocence!! Yahhhh, vaccines break bones too doncha know, not scary at all.

Oh yay. New news story kid almost dies after flu shot. I can't find out if he got the flu or what. It didn't sound like an allergic reaction or GBS. So, if he got the flu around the same time as the shot, of course he got the flu FROM the shot, and didn't nearly die of the flu. Idiot media on it again. Just keep ON ignoring the fact that the shot needs 10 days to work, so if you get the flu before THEN, then you almost died from the flu, idiots.
