• Quick note - the problem with Youtube videos not embedding on the forum appears to have been fixed, thanks to ZiprHead. If you do still see problems let me know.

Merged Skeptics vs. Knowers/Believers

Oh, you mean like this!

Got it.

I feel we'll receive a personal message from that automodaction guy soon!

I've got paranormal powers, that's my evidence and I want the money.

At G&P?

BTW, since the message from automodaction is personal, I can't show it. I can only demand my money.

Mocko Jocko...my favorite follower...do 'you' still believe community volunteers are "worthless people"...?

Yes, I do, and I need only point to your volumes of posts here to prove it beyond any reasonable doubt. By the way, have you ever noticed how all your "followers" are "following" from miles and miles in front of you? Curious, no?

Why don't ALL claims require evidentiary support?

Of course they do... it is just that the debunkers cannot support their claims with evidence - so irrationally resort to claiming they do not have to supply any!

This of course turns accepted notions of the burden of proof totally upside down and we enter a twilight zone of antilogic.

Moreover when the debunkers cite their Guru Sagan ("extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence") - they cannot actually define what "extraordinary evidence" is! If even THEY don't know what it is - then how can anyone supply it? :boggled:

Yeah, if extraordinary evidencde is provided then it is too good to be true and must be considered a hoax.

I hate to break this to you Jocko, but KoTA's already left this thread. I'm assuming he isn't coming back. Most likely he has missed this post completely

This sounds like the kind of response one might expect from a person with a deep seated belief in some sort of woo and a complete lack of ability to support it with legitimate evidence and real science. Seems like what we might expect to hear from someone who is desperate to hang on to their woo belief and has a chip on their shoulder because they keep getting their ass handed to them in every discussion they start about it. Is this satire, Rramjet, or are you serious?

Dishonesty now being cross threaded... :eye-poppi

Extraordinary has been explained to you many times on the UFO (lack of) Evidence thread Rramjet.

But just incase you missed it:
Extraordinary evidence is any evidence which out weighs and contradicts that which is commonly known and accepted.

Guess the antilogic is when any doubters have to disprove aliens, bigfeet, atlantian, etc.

I am not sure, but if we keep it up somebody may show up to explain.

ETA: See, I told you so.
