Granted, page 51 is an interesting read, but hardly 'evidence' for why we know the NT writers told the truth.
Unless there's some sort of hidden 'code' in the post texts?

It's exactly the same reason why his Jefferson thread was closed. Every time he is cornered and has nothing left to say, he rehashes his same old pile of garbage.

Anybody want to report this? This will undoubtedly lead to this thread FINALLY being closed.

Why does talking about the soul bother you so much and I you didn't answer my question if the existence or non-existence of the soul has anything to do with Jesus or the New Testament?

And I'm not cornered, what am I cornered with? You're the one who is acting like he is cornered to use your language because you want this thread to go away.

After repeated protests that discussion of slavery should be in a separate thread, DOC reaches back over a 100 pages, not posts, to come up with an excuse for this sort of sermon-speak.
I can't call it much else; by this sort of reasoning, changing DOC's brain's chemistry would change his belief in the inerrancy of the bible.

So the existence or non-existence of the soul that Jesus talks about is not an important factor in the NT?

You're phony to say talking about the existence or non existence of the soul in a New Testament thread is a derail

Jesus and Paul talked a lot about the soul in the NT.

If you can prove the soul doesn't exist, like some in here implied then that would be extremely important to your arguments.

That pesky word 'evidence' seems to have escaped your notice again, DOC.

If you have evidence to present about the existence of "souls", then such evidence will fit right in to this thread.

If you have no evidence, then the discussion of souls is indeed a derail. The title of the thread, in case you have forgotten, is "Evidence for why we know the New Testament writers told the truth". 163 pages and no evidence for truth has yet been presented, though I concede lots of evidence has been demonstrated for belief.

Belief, as I am sure you know, is not a synonym for either truth or knowledge.

DOC, I really can't agree with you there.
Perhaps I'm the only one to find it well, peculiar, that you've dedicated time to dredge up a post from over a 100 pages back to to inspire this tangent.
The main priority here isn't to make you look bad, it's to discuss evidence of the truth of the NT writers.

You want to discuss the existence of the soul?
Feel free, please, if you think it an interesting subject.
But not on a thread dedicated to the evidence for the truth of the NT writers, as it looks more like thread de-railment rather than a serious discussion.

If I could give evidence of the existence of the soul would that be evidence that increases the likelihood that the NT writers were telling the truth?

Unfortunately DOC, whatever hapens tothis thread, it will not go away, as you put it.
