Army Strong

Have you read his posts? Yes or no?

I am not reading through 1713 posts so you can attempt to prove your internet diagnosis. Sorry. And most of what you have said in this thread has made little or no sense so you have lost all credibility.

Your responsibility is not to undermine your instructions. So turning the tables, what unit are you an officer in?

What does that have to do with anything? All officers are trained in the same leadership techniques; his MOS has little if anything to do with this discussion.

If you are not willing to do the research, why on earth are you arguing this case? You are admiting you know knothing of what you are arguing.

Different reaction, but the same principal.

No, it's not the same principal at all!

You see demonization for no good reason. I see justifiable contempt for the tactics and techniques of an enemy. Two completely different things.

What you see and what you are instructed to do are two seperate things.

I am a 19A which is an armor officer. I don't really care to divulge my unit over the internet and that has nothing to do with this discussion anyways. And again, your post makes no sense.

I told you I could see the event horizon. ;)

Boy, you aren't kidding.

Clearly, b2b here has no clue what he's talking about as regards the military, its training, and the reactions to war of its enlisted, NCOs, and officers.

I am not reading through 1713 posts. I HAVE however read many of his posts in other threads and you do not have a case. This is simply an NCO doing what he does best, being blunt and to the point. Your skin is way too thin.

Correct, and where i am from has nothing to do with it. If you can show me that demonization is ok, that would. But you cannot. Your training tells you its wrong. There is a reason for that. Question it only if you are willing to understand what you are talking about and write your own field manual.

It has as much to do with it as where i am from.

I was wondering where you are from because of your consistent poor grammar and misspellings. If you were from another country, it would be possible for you to have some spelling errors and grammar errors and still have some professional training in psychology, seeing as how you would not be too familiar with the language. But you said you are from America, and someone who is actually qualified in psychology would not make such errors. They would have the educational background to perform the simple task of typing coherent sentences. Admit that you have no professional training in psychology.

So, you're saying that because Longtabber shows contempt for the very personnel who are killing innocent civilians, but he's not instructed to feel said contempt, he's wrong?

No offense, but that has to be the most fallacious argument I have ever heard in my LIFE. The military does not order its soldiers to feel a particular way, and Longtabber has the right to feel the way he does. The difference is, he does not act on those feelings except within the confines of his particular set of ROE. He is perfectly within his rights to feel contempt for a cowardly enemy, and I for one share his feelings; they are cowardly, and most of them do deserve to die. The difference is, Longtabber does not go out and kill indiscriminately; he follows his ROE, which is PRECISELY what he was trained to do.

My God, the stupidity of that argument is practically inconceivable....

My skin is too thin? I am making an argument HIS skin is too thin. Turn it around if you want. Again you training tells you demonization is the wrong reason to kill.

I refer you to post 295. Why are you asking me to write a field manual?

Sadly they do make such errors. Doctors are notorious for bad spelling and grammar. But don’t argue with me, argue with your training. You admitted it. Also sadly for you I do have qualifications and they are closer to this subject than you know. Which is why you cannot deny you were trained not to demonize the enemy.

So, everyone who was actually in the military is wrong, and back2basics is right. Yeah. Got it.
Want to explain how that works, exactly, b2b?
