Army Strong

I can see the back2basics event horizon so be prepared to be sucked into the black hole containing "you people" "cold hard killer" and "demonization of the enemy."

War is necessary. I have never protested a war. But so is training. And some people seem to have forgotten that. Or discarded it due to necessity. As has been admitted you people are arguing against your training. Your ranking officers would reprimand you for that, no?

Again, what exactly are your credentials and where are you from? If you don't want to answer those questions just say so, but please provide an explanation. You are after all the one trying to give out psychological evaluations on the internet.

I will call you a WHHABULANCE. Seems you lost the argument unless you are arguing against you training and there is a word for that.

There is a need for cold hard killers in special forces. But my friends in the SAS do not need to demonize the enemy. They see it as weakness, which it is.

Longtabber is not demonizing anyone from what I can tell.

Read his posts, not just the ones in this thread. Thanks in advance.

Also as an officer, you have a responsibility. And you know what demonizing the enemy is.

Does anyone reading this thread have ANY idea what back2basics is talking about? Again, what country are you from?

You are confusing two different emotions, b2b.

Longtabber has demonstrated contempt for his enemies due to their cowardly tactics. However, he has not "demonized" them; had he been doing that, he would have likely begun attacking, either verbally or physically, anyone who so much as resembled his enemies, which would quickly get him yanked out of theater, as he'd be surrounded by them. He has not, as far as I know, done that, although I am admittedly not stationed with him and do not know him personally. You, on the other hand, seem to be generalizing his actions for no reason I can see, so I'm going to echo Quad here and ask what credentials and/or training you've had in order to be able to make such a determination without even meeting Longtabber.

You do understand that if you were to go2basic it would only be the first step in a training regimen spanning much of your service. We don't go into war, panic cause we met our quota, and then train a bunch of blueheads in a hurry. I'm beginning to think that your talk of training is a red herring here.

Serious question. What exactly does training mean to you?

Interesting. I wondered because of your consistent misspellings and bad grammar. For example misspelling "psychology" numerous times does not help your case at all.

Thats fine because arguing against your training is not helping yours.

I am linking his demonization of various groups to his need to demonize.

back2basics, I think you're confusing his personality with something else. LONGTABBER speaks his mind directly and bluntly. Some people can take this. You, obviously, cannot, and take it as a personal attack because he doesn't agree with you. This has absolutely nothing to do with military training, at least not any kind of military training that I'm familiar with.
I've been crossways with him on a couple of threads. I don't see him as some rabid psycho, even though we don't see eye-to-eye on everything. How about you back off, read the posts here from others who actually have been in the military, and think about where you went off the rails. Because you sure did, dude.
BTW, 14 year Navy veteran, Chief Petty Officer, qualified in Submarines. Just so you know I have some experience in this as well.

Since you are the one claiming demonization it is up to you to cite which of his posts meets that criteria. On this forum we don't do your research for you.
