While reading the thread, the commercial with Sheen tossing a cell phone into Michael Jordon's car kept coming to mind, except I kept picturing Obama driving away and Sheen being cut down in a fusillade of Secret Service gunfire.

Now there are rumors that the plot of "Wall Street 2" with Oliver Stone directing and Charlie Sheen repeating his role from "1" is pretty much based on the current crisis being a result of a massive conspiracy.
Just a rumor, but considering Stone and Sheen's fondness for crap conspiracy theories, a halfway plausible one.
If true, the woo emerging from this film will be astoudning to behold.

He also did an on camera interview with one of the major networks around that time, too. I remember watching him and thinking "this is not going to end well" as a chill ran down my spine...do I get credit for "predicting" 9/11, too?

As soon as the second plane hit on 9/11 my first thought was "Bin Laden finally did what he had threatened to do a couple of years ago". The only people who didn't think the same thing that morning were mostly children, the pathetically uninformed, and the mentally ill.

One of the lies Alex was making was that "debunkers" would try to claim that Sheen did not write the article, this is of course false and I havent seen anyone make that argument, Alex is trying to deflect the real anger about his hoax by making up this stuff.

No "debunker" would claim such a thing because we already know Sheen is a bit loopy. Whether this was just done for the sake of being creative or not, we all recognize this as being well within the realm of possibility for him.

That's some logic. They wouldn't think that the lying sack of fecal matter who owned the site, and who has not denied it, was responsible for the missing disclaimer.

And that said owner of the site wouldn't make a statement claiming such, or correcting the "hack" ASAP.

Total BS. Assuming for the moment that the interview being posted without a disclaimer was actually unintended, there is no technical reason that the disclaimer, and only the disclaimer, would be stripped from the post.

Again, assuming that posting the content without the disclaimer was unintended, it had to have been forgotten. The poster failing to include the disclaimer is not a "technical snafu", Jones; it's human error.

That's a best case scenario.

And none of that excuse explains the rather massive hype he churned out prior to the posting of this "interview".

It depends on what kind of hardware he has and how much traffic each of those sites gets, but it may be possible to run all three on a single machine.

Bandwidth usually isn't the issue, though. What Jones basically described was a "distributed denial of service" (DDoS). It's when a server gets requests (e.g. for web pages) coming in faster than it can handle them. Eventually, the resources of the machine (memory, processor, etc.) are exhausted and it starts freaking out (more or less ).

If the infowars.com and prisonplanet.com websites were having difficulty, but truthnews.us was fine, this is an indication that truthnews.us is probably on a different physical machine than the other two.
