So today we learned that it looks like the US will be making $4 billion off of some of the Wall street bailouts. Now comes the questions as to what to do with that money (besides the obvious 'shore up shortages').

This thread is about what I believe we need to do with it.

OUTBID DISNEY!!

Disney is going to buy Marvel comics for $4 billion. This scares me. Come on Obama, I know you're a Spiderman fan. Please?:boxedin:

Split it up between the members of the JREF forum...I'm just saying...

I've heard at least some people asking that it be used to re-instate the Bush tax cuts. I thought that the perspective on how $4 billion buys one comic book company might shut that up. To be fair it's arguably the largest and most successful comic book company, but still.

If it means I might get my tax refund in Marvel comics, then perhaps. Also it might give the Federal Reserve something to do other then print money.

Ooh, X-men quarters, legal tender featuring your favorite mutant.

Better in the hands of the government than in the hands of Satan.

Exactly! I don't want to see Marvel become DC, where they can't say the word, 'fart'.

I can just see it now…

"That'll be two Wolverines and a Dazzler.”

That's outrageous! Time was you could get that for a Havok and still get two Bishops back as change.
