Merged National Geographic Special - "9/11 Science and Conspiracy" Debunks Thermite Myth

LOL Gage is complaining about the scaling of the speed of the projectile in their Pentagon experiment.

I am sorry, anyone who drops cardboard boxes on each other is in no place to complain about scaling errors.

If a truther argument has ever been made, there are other truthers out there that use it. It just shows how undisciplined the truth movement is and how many factions have formed under its umbrella. For every "responsible" truther whining about cover-ups, there's at least one kid that just watched 9/11 Mysteries on youtube and starts passing it around, and there's probably one kid that stumbled upon Dr. Judy Wood's site with a google search and thinks nukes were used. I just googled "wtc aluminum" to prove to myself I'm not crazy about the exterior cladding of the building being composed of aluminum, and one of the results on page 1 was Dr. Judy's beam weapon nonsense.
 
These clips of all the people in the black "investigate 9/11" shirts... 9/11/2006, right? Sad that three years later, that's still the best and really only showing of truthers at their strongest, and it's just gotten worse for them since.

I think people here should remember that most people aren't into 9/11 conspiracy like the folks here are. I think that this special was catering to people who know nothing about the conspiracies.

I caught the last half hour where they tried to show the bumble plane theory totally leaving out the changed transponder codes and then ending with the idiot Taibbi and his "how many people would need to be in on it" garbage which seems to be his answer to everything. BTW is it just me or did Taibbi look like he just got off the short bus?

I really loved all the comparisons to JFK too as if that's all been solved.

Anyway... why was this special even needed in 2009? How many ratings did they get from the so called fringe?

Oh yeah, who the hell was Aaronovich? He looked like he needed a drink.

Nothing debunked with this piece of crap.
 
The show followed the same narrative that we see to much of on this forum. A CTists will make a vague claim, then, instead of simply saying, show the evidence and then shutting up until they do, debunkers will try, endless and fruitlessly to prove what really happened. Or worse, the debunkers will try and fill in the missing facts from the vague claim and debunk it.

The best example of that from this show was the Pentagon. They claimed it was a missile or bomb. Instead of asking them to prove the claim, they developed some sad attempts at some experiments to disprove the claim. The show became about the experiments and three idiots at the table saying were allowed to become the skeptics. What this technique does is is switch the burden of proof, wrong approach.

It was a missile, okay, show me the missile fragments, show me where the missile came from, Evidence was removed? Okay, prove it, who removed it, show me how it was removed, prove it or STFU.

But then that doesn't allow all us smart people to pontificate all our smartness. Yeah, that's pretty cynical, but that's what I'm seeing.

Edit - when I posted this I noticed the post directly above this one, thanks for proving my point.

What debunkers forget is that many people who don't buy or are unsure about the official version are just that. They don't have a conspiracy theory. They just don't buy the official one.

This special jumped all over the standard "they don't have an alternative" bull.

They don't need one. If the official version into 9/11 (or JFK for that matter) was adequate there would be no need for a special on it 8 years later.

What I don't understand is why are some people for less investigation? Wouldn't it help get rid of conspiracy theories if that's all they are?

I like that this special was done. I enjoyed what I saw of it. It validates that there are still questions about 9/11.

I really think 9/11 has surpassed JFK conspiracy. Why is that?

1. Simple question...

How come they used the steel I Beam in a horizontal position instead of a vertical one?

Answer; It would still be standing today, the fire long burned out, if it was in a vertical position with the weight on top.

Case closed.

Honestly, is this really the best they have now? The public will laugh at the obviousness of it all.

Not if the "weight on top" was part of the 10-20 floors of a WTC tower.

(Go over and give us a comment of the French demolition job you thought proved something or other. )
 
Oh, other than thermite, and the collapse, and well, just about everything else. But yeah, I guess other than that, nothing was debunked wubriney.....:rolleyes:
 
Come on. Which debunker here will step up and admit that this show was irrelevant to debunking or truth for that matter? Most of you here could have made a much better case. It was for entertainment value and nothing else. I'm surprised you're not all insulted. I am.

Most people are way past 9/11. They don't care. It's pop culture to them.
 
Because, if you bothered to read the NIST report, the collapse was triggered by the floor beams sagging. Last I checked floors were pretty much horizontal.
 
I will stand here and say that just about EVERY part of that show WAS in fact RELEVANT to the events of 9/11. The only part that I thought they could have explored a little more was the inpact of the plane at the Pentagon. But, even then, the experiments that WERE done were in fact completly relevant.

But, of course you dolts disagree. Lord knows, if it doesn't fit your dumb agenda, its wrong, or irrelevant.

Well yeah, of course it was relevant to 9/11. It just wasn't relevant in the context and level of what is discussed here on a daily basis. It was amateurish. It was entertainment nothing else.

The only relevance I can see is that it's obviously still an issue to some people.
