Merged Recent climate observations disagreement with projections

...and another paper about sensitivity that warns about underestimating...
Those are not papers but articles by a journalist.

Mason Inman is a science and environmental journalist now based in Pakistan
Yawn.

...and is very likely a transient methane response....which we are seeing now...

We report the presence of relict ground ice in subarctic Canada that is greater than 700,000 years old, with the implication that ground ice in this area has survived past interglaciations that were warmer and of longer duration than the present interglaciation.

Based on paleoclimatic data and in consequence of this study, it is suggested that scenarios calling for massive release of methane in the near future from degrading permafrost are questionable.

I gave up a long time ago the notion of expecting Poptech to maintain any level of logical consistency in his/her arguments.
No you attempted to fabricate strawman arguments and repeated lies over and over in a pathetic attempt to smear me. My position (of what I actually said) has remained consistent. The fact that your mind cannot follow it does not refute it's logic.

Pretty much. Poptech has no independent standard for what he considers scientific data. In his interpretation anything that supports his desired conclusion is science and anything that disputes it is not. In his mind, therefore, the science really does support his position. To any skeptic, however he’s simply redefining science to rationalize a predetermines position.
As opposed to your pure subjective opinion on "valid" science? Yes I have consistently presented real science to support my position.

Not so much in their opinions but in their minds. macdoc's is discriminating while PopTech's isn't. macdoc looks to the data, while PopTech eats whatever pap he's fed by trusted sources.
Macdoc is an alarmist hysteric who doesn't care about data integrity. I am not fed anything despite your lies and smears. The JREF smear campaign is all you got.

Alec - don't fall for mHaze crap - he cites a "report" which is merely an opinion piece from a known denier site - no attribution, no author
LMAO! Mac are you attempting to smear Dr. Michaels? Too funny...

Piers Akerman takes denial to the next level

Category: Global Warming • stupidity
People outside Australia are probably unfamiliar with Piers Akerman, who is an absurdly partisan columnist for Sydney's Daily Telegraph. Tobias Ziegler finds Akerman not only denying the existence of global warming but also the existence of any criticism of Plimer's book and even the presence of CO2 in the atmosphere.

Do you really think your dated and often junkscience lists convince anyone....you don't even read most of them as has been shown a number of times.

Answered the question yet?? Is CO2 a forcing??

You mean you could edit them? What are you wasting your time here for instead of fighting the good fight against the Liberal Authoritarian Movement that's melting all those glaciers?
That would be even more useless than trying to edit Wikipedia where the RealClimate alarmist William Connelly makes sure to censor all opposing views.

Wikipropaganda On Global Warming (CBS News)

JREF much to my surprise is not a skeptical site but one filled with alarmist zealots. The glaciers have been melting since the LIA and before extensive hydrocarbon use, which has nothing to do with liberal anything.

Your claim that recent climate history disagrees with projections has been shown to be rubbish. Do you have some reason to disagree? If so you haven't presented it yet. Regard this as an opportunity to do so.
Nope it has been proven Rahmstorf is an expert at data-padding to fit his alarmist agenda and the projections constantly disagree with observations.

Hey, Pops,
Find any sources of data that are 100% accurate, yet?
Back to strawman arguments? So sad.

Except Bangladesh is gaining land despite the hysteria.

Bangladesh gaining land, not losing: scientists (AFP)
Of course it's "gaining", don't you know what a delta is? don't you know what a rives is? The matter is it's gaining less every year, they have to increasingly build dykes, as your beauty parlor waiting room article says -letter by letter-. In fact is gaining land but it has to be surrounded by more dykes and wash the land -new lands and more and more of the old ones are salty marshes-. The fact is that without the sea level raising all would be easier there.

Besides, in spite of your cultural training, surely gotten by thousands of hours in front of a TV set, Bangladeshis are not the anonymous extras in your favourite action movie and they're not to suffer by thousands just to justify your theatrical hero driving wildly his ATV into the sunset at the end of the film.

By the way, the title "Bangladesh gaining land, not losing: scientists". Oh, yeah! colon + scientist, it impresses as a serious one. Your lack of logics might be forgiven, but your lack of aesthetics is beyond measure: not only you don't know how logics are but you also don't know how they look.

There is a huge difference between Pascal's Wager and the Precautionary Principal in regards to AGW. There is no scientific evidence that God exists, it is purely a gamble if he does or not, there is scientific evidence supporting the existence of AGW. The two are not really comparable.

Despite that Michaels is one of the few deniers with legit credentials, he's still a liar of the worst sort, as stunningly evidenced by his appearance at the Inhofe Kabuki Theater. Just sayin'.

Arrghh, an irrefutible blog post about "fraud" from a computer scientist.....the anti-Poptech?

I can probably find a zillion similar blog entries about "fraud" espoused by those on either side of this argument.

True. What helps to simplify matters is a very selective perception, combined with a strong confirmation bias. You might find that the world appears much simpler all of a sudden. :D

Ask varwoche for instance. He knows immediately who are the deniers, liars or what have you.

Lambert says-

Hansen et al's paper is not available online

He refers to the Hansen Senate testimony.

Which I put online.

Which proved Lambert, and Krugman to be the blatant liars.

So get another dog, that one won't hunt.

I will not. However you can only depend on your original argument for so long as data accumulates, and we are used to thinking in terms of years here. We know how long previous episodes lasted (because they finished) but this one remains open-ended. And time does fly. When did you argue about it first? It must have been a while back now. Not long after you joined our happy crew as I recall (but then my recall ain't what it was when I started here myself ...)

When the data supports the conclusion I’ll personally apologise to macdoc for doubting his prescience.

(BTW – seen the melt data lately? Your 2015 date is looking better all the time.)
