Your idea is good - but founded on a wrong premise : that the 9/11 footage was filmed with real cameras. However, your idea (adequately revised) could serve an excellent, educational purpose : to show how, today, even a small-budget set-up could reproduce even superior virtual imagery than that sorry mess proposed on TV on September 11, 2001. In that sense, I'd encourage you to go ahead with such a project - although I cannot promise you my support...as I am by now pretty well fed-up with scanning virtual imagery !

On the topic of the LRO images of the Apollo landing sites:

I have had been looking at the Apollo landing site pictures today.
Very poor quality and not much to see. What seemed really weird was that the
objects were a lot brighter than their surroundings and seemed to cast long straight shadows.

I wondered why no other object in the surrounding area cast shadows like the orbiters.

[For the slow: The landers - not orbiters - are not in areas where there are large boulders because, well, it would be a wee bit dangerous to land there, y'know. And long shadows? It's a lunar morning picture.]

Ppl, get ready because according to a number of resources, Planet X should be making it's "entrance on the last stage-scene" very, very soon!! This one's borderline given that it's mostly religion, but I think the research methods being employed here are rather similar to those used by our CT friends.

Atheists, how did leap year occur? While computing the days of rotation of earth around sun, one extra day..?
..was found which could not be adjusted since it wasn't a full day. So, the extra day was called a leap day which was added to every consecutive fourth year. Now, how did this occur? Where did this extra day come from?

In Bible, it says in the book of Joshua that God stopped Sun in the sky which did not move until Israelites won a war. It means, the rotation of the earth was stopped for sometime, which caused extra time requirement for the earth to finish its regular rotation around the sun, thus causing extra time added to the whole period of 365 days.

You see, everything is true in Bible when scientifically explore each of its incidents.

I just saw the photos! WHAT A JOKE!

It is obvious that NASA made an egregious mistake. The show SHADOWS OF
ALL THE LUNAR MODULES. This is ridiculous because THE ASTRONAUTS USED
THE LUNAR MODULES TO RETURN, otherwise they would still be on the moon!
This will not fool anyone except the public.

The modules (which they name on all photos) returned to the orbiter, allegedly.
Only thing left behind were the skinny base with pipe legs which would cast
miniscule shadows. What a gaffe!

They faked all previous photos. These seem to be faked also.

Argh! Obviousman beats me to it by a minute!

However, check the immediately previous post to Mr. White's. The poster goes to the trouble of using the Orbiter sim to render the descent stage on the ground, in the lighting conditions corresponding to the LRO image (lunar afternoon). He then shows an overhead view at the same approximate scale as the LRO image - and it's nearly an exact match (different angle, slightly different shadow length).

Epic fail.

ETA: The render is of AS-506, i.e. Apollo 11. Mr. White's image, above, is of Apollo 14. The point stands, however.

Ah yes, "Progressive Independent." Its membership is largely those who were kicked off of the Democratic Underground for refusing to keep their conspiracy posts in the designated forum (i.e. the Dungeon).
