Neda was shot by the CIA

It was bound to come out sooner or later...

LITZER: Are you seriously accusing the CIA of killing Nada?

GHADIRI (through translator): We say that the bullet that was found in her head was not a bullet that you could find in Iran. These are the bullets that the CIA and terrorist groups use. Of course they warned that there would be a bloodshed in these demonstrations and then they could attribute that to the Islamic republic. This is part of a common act of CIA in various countries.

BLITZER: Do you really believe that, Mr. Ambassador? You're a distinguished diplomat representing Iran. This is a very serious accusation that you're making, that the CIA was responsible for killing this beautiful, young woman.

GHADIRI (through translator): I'm not saying that the CIA had done this. There are different groups. Could be intelligence services, could be CIA, could be the terrorists. However, these are the people who do these things.

This guy is the Iranian ambassador to Mexico.

You've got to be kidding me.

I think I have to go throw up now.

How dumb does he think the rest of the world is? He just says the magic letters and everybody's supposed to say "Ohhh yeah. Maybe they weren't at fault."

Never mind the fact that the 7.62mm round that killed Neda is the most widely used rifle cartridge in the freaking world, and the Basij that killed the poor girl was part of an all-volunteer force armed primarily with Kalashnikovs.

Consider, for a moment, some of the more notoriously woo-minded posters hereabouts, and you'll have answered your own question.:covereyes

The only question I have at the moment?

Is there a single person in the service of the Iranian government that isn't a sycophantic conspiracy-spouting sadist?

Actually, there are a couple. They just get their relatives detained for daring to be so damned reasonable.

This whole thing has Nacht der Langen Messer written all over it. The Basij might as well be Sturmabteilung.

And the 30 other protesters who were shot? I guess the CIA was busy during those protests. Kind of strange that the Iranian security forces would let CIA agents run round the place so freely. LIHOP maybe?

Evidently, the plan is to trot out several different "explanations" concurrently, in order to best guage their relative efficacy overall.

TEHRAN, Iran (CNN) -- Iran said the gunman who killed Neda Agha-Soltan may have mistaken her for the sister of an Iranian "terrorist," the Islamic Republic News Agency reported Wednesday. [...] The report said the investigation into her death is ongoing, "but according to the evidence so far, it could be said that she was killed by mistake. The marksmen had mistaken her for the sister of one of the Monafeghin who had been executed in the province of Mazandaran some time ago." [SNIP]

My, but aren't they the clever ones, though...?

And the reason their going around killing the sisters of people they don't like is....? I really can't see how they expect this to make them look better.

The Iranian propaganda ministry really needs better staff. They should hire the ones the NWO uses.

Maybe da Jooooooooooos did it!!!

=)

The Jooooooooos were busy that day, they had to subcontract the whole thing to the Evil Infidel Crusader Forces, which is why it tanked so horribly.

GHADIRI (through translator): "We say that the bullet that was found in her head..."

I was under the impression she had been shot in the chest, thats how it looked to me anyway. Sounds like they can't even stick with one version of the story, lame!

They really need a professional to organize the propaganda it releases, I think they need to hire Baghdad Bob!!! After all, we're all in need of some better entertainment.

Y'know, it comes down to this: I live in the Chicago area. We KNOW how to steal an election. The elders in Iran are the rankest amateurs. If they had made the SLIGHTEST effort and given Ahmadinejad just enough of a majority to avoid a runoff, none of this would've been necessary. But the mullahs got greedy. This happens in new democracies, before folks learn the fine points. As a longtime Chicagoan, I can only dismiss them as rubes. Chawbacons. Unworthy of holding a phony office.

You know, idiots.

Sooooo...

The CIA infiltrate the demonstration and start shooting people with a gun using bullets so rare that the Iranians (major military industrial producer in the region) have never seen one before.

Boy are the CIA dumb!

The CIA actualy has people running around killing people and yet britian is still more evil? We must be good at what we do then.

The sad part is that some people bought it. Some people will buy anything that makes the US look bad.

I actually know a few people who are convinced the CIA is paying the protesters to demonstrate, in order to destabilize the Iranian regime. What a waste of perfectly good oxygen..

That fact that the US has put a lot of money into destabilizing Iran with a view to bringing about regime change is hardly a state secret! That's what the US calls spreading democracy.
