Looks like Korey Rowe was... right

*deep breath*

it's done.

the last picture i took before my phone died. I didn't get a pic of the chip, however. They ended up putting it in my left elbow, which is now in a sling for the next 2 days. According to the specialist, it contains my medical history and can monitor my stress patterns. I'll try to get a pic of the insertion site soon.

Is the hospital running out of money? For the clamps, how come there's insulation/grip on one of the handles but not on the other? Did you remove the insulation and eat it while the doc was getting his mask tied on? Is there some property of that ingested insulation that can assist in chip-signal negation? If so, good thinking!

Glad you survived the ordeal UC, without becoming a cyborg! (Um, you aren't a cyborg, right? ;) :p )

Hope you have a quick recovery. I remember you posted that you were concerned about having the implant in your guitar pickin arm, so I"m glad you got it switched to your left arm instead.

So did they put you completely under or were you given a local? Do you know if you got a passive or active RFID? Yeah, I'm noisey. :)

not a cyborg yet. But I do feel like I know when my phone's about to ring.

the bad thing about putting it in my left arm is that's my fret arm, it's still in a sling, so I can't play for a few more days. They gave me a local, but had to add a little extra to it since I am impervious to normal doses of anesthesia thanks to my little pain killer addiction a few years ago. Going to the dentist is fun. First they try the novacaine, then the lidocaine, then they say f[leep] it and go right for the cocaine...

anyway, I think it's a passive chip. Honestly, i fell asleep during the procedure, as I am wont to do when I sit in the same spot for more than 60 seconds. Stitches come out soon.

Well, I'm glad you probably got the less invasive type of tag. Hope you will be able to play your guitar again very soon. :)

Oh.... this sounds like... fun....

I had to get a medical checkup today. I'm not due for a physical for another 5 years, but for some reason, had to go get one right away they said. Go now, they said. Pick up your medical records, they say. Head to the medical center. I do, get checked out head to toe. After I pass, they stamp this on my medical records.

I'm getting chipped. I got selected for the 1% of combat troops in my Division to get one to monitor "stress patterns" for the upcoming deployment. I get to go to DACH next week for a simple 30 minute procedure to have this damn chip put in my right arm. So I have a date when it goes in, but no date when it comes out. I don't wanna say that is is for nefarious purposes but I don't see a reason to monitor my stress levels prior to a deployment I'm not going on until another 9-10 months.

Congrats, moon bats. you were right about something for once.

great how your non-chipped friends defend the people putting a chip into you thats never going to come out.

you are now officially cattle for the elite. feels great, doesn't it?

i know im not jealous.......

Did a memo just go out today about this? Where were you dim bulbs two months ago?

I notice there's no rush to resurrect the thread where we all laugh heartily after the prank played out. :p

if I refuse, that's disobeying a lawful order. bye bye career.

Not at all. Argue your religious freedom, and that your religion clearly disallows you to bear the "Mark of the Beast". :) I'm sure many others will say just that, and refuse!?

And seriously, good luck with the eventual posting, and all the best, may you have a good experience.

EDIT: bah! took me in! lol! :)

Being ex-military, naturally I was being held incommunicado in a Cone Of Silence for the last 2 months. Weird. Somehow I feel different now. Somehow I can communicate with The TermiCoiner across the miles. We're in sync, it seems. Strange.

During my incarceration, military nurses kept visiting me with these gadgety wands that they'd wave over MY upper left arm just to hear the static. Then they'd titter behind their hands, and leave. I'm calm now, though. Weird...WAIT!

Gotta move out, TermiCoiner just flashed me something (how I don't know) about participating in a night ops assault on the fomerly ice-bound North Pole. I'm getting other messages from the skipper of a fast-attack sub, a rendezvous with...coordinate...synchronize...
