I am all for better living through implants if those implants allow me to play video games better but for the benefit of my Government? I don't think so.

So you have no problem with him fighting and maybe dying for his beloved country, but you do have a problem with experiments that are almost certainly not harmful (monitoring only, unlike Tuskegee, which was obviously almost certainly harmful, and the doctors knew it), and for the purpose of making fighting even better (i.e. more efficient and thus safer.)

Um, no, I said all the people who did not FACT-CHECK were truthers.

Most of the others were fairly skeptical, and indeed I or UC PM'ed several people to get them to play along just to see what the truthers would do (hint: it wasn't ask whether UC was playing a joke, by the way). If we hadn't PM'ed those individuals, it's likely the thread would have ended fairly quickly before any truthers even got involved, since most of the skeptics here didn't quite believe UC.

Did you even read the follow-up thread to this that explains a good bit of it?

Years ago he created a persona to edit Wikipedia & this persona claimed to be an engineer who was anti-truther. He then edited a wiki page about a building collapse that had nothing to do with 9/11, with a bunch of nonsense. He revealed his stunt after the nonsense had been allowed to stand for a while & thought it proved that wiki (& all mainstream news iirc) had an anti truther bias. When it was pointed out that the page he edited was rather obscure, & Wikipedia doesn't have an editorial staff, he hand waved that away of course.
