Hmm, Horatius, would you be interested in a side bet? If I am knocked out before you, you win and vice versa. You can put up a six of your beer, and I can put up whatever thingy from Hawai'i you are interested in (coffee, mac nuts, real pineapple, whatever). Maybe this should be in the Poker thread.

Or, I could just let you drink them during the tournament, so I don't lose in the first place.....


No idea what I'd like from Hawaii, though. I don't drink coffee, or eat mac nuts, and I suspect a pineapple wouldn't travel so well....Any other suggestions?

The dried pineapple travels very well, and the whole pineapples travel rather well, but you might have a problem getting into them. What sort of things do you want/need and does this constitute an acceptance of the side bet?

I'll try an adventurous beer for one or two cans, but if I'm drinking 6, I like something a bit lighter, usually. Do they sell mixed sixes? Something like that would be a hit at the Skepchick party, I'd expect.

And yes, we should cross-post this. Maybe we can get some others into grudge matches!

Yep, they do sell those, so I'll bring a mixed six (2 each of the Bikini Blonde lager, Big Swell IPA, and CocoNut Porter). It will have to go in my check-in bag, as stupid, stupid TSA doesn't allow liquids in my carry-on, so shaking may be a problem. If karma were real, the terrorists who attempted the liquid bomb would be very, very thirsty right about now.

If you would rather take the left-overs to the Skepchick party, feel free. I won't be there, as I have another thing I have to attend in San Diego that night.

For certain, me, my hubby and Zack are bowling. One son says no and I still have to check with the other son. I thought I should clarify that.
