June Stundie Nominations

starfireucsd posts the PQ9/11 Website on this video. Someone brings up Edna Cintron's presence on the site. starfireucsd replies:

yeah, so what about her? you should point out what is wrong with her argument or reasoning rather than just putting people's names out.

When its pointed out that Edna died on 9/11, he replies:

that I didn't know. thanks for the heads up.
yeah, so what about her?

Apparently, if you died on 9/11, you are 'questioning it' as well.

Its not the first time that a truther site has listed a 911 victim as a questioner of the 'official story' but its a joke that never gets old.

In truther world it seems the dead do in fact speak.

I get a mental image of truthers as the nerd villain from Goldeneye:

Twoofer: I AM INVINCIBLE!!!1!11!
Reality: This tankful of liquid nitrogen disagrees

Ah yes, the invincible Boris.:D

no analysis of the collapse can exclude the 47 upstanding massive core columns as NIST's did in their FAQ. <snip>
(bolding and emphasis mine)

I didn't see it in the Cliff's Notes, so it couldn't possibly be in the book!

(actually a typical Cliff's Notes summation is a fair bit more comprehensive than a FAQ. Also, FAQ's sometimes assume that you read the material presented, but had further questions.)

Best together ,but good even separate:

Wouldn't this go against the idea of big conspiracies in government?

Each example was a single case of one or a few police officers. The charges they made were dropped in some cases, the officers in question are now being prosecuted by the local government.

No, because all these so-called isolated cases, were coordinated to deprive rights of individuals over a widespread geographic location.

Each incident cited in the article completed the same objective, to fight the Drug War and destroy liberty.

Everything is connected, specificly however are actions against The LibertyTM.

Why didn't you post the rest of the story? You know, the part you intentional left out that says this type of activity is an aberration and not routine.

Why would you believe Moskos, someone who is in on the conspiracy?

Right, first part is usefull, but rest has to be discarded somehow...

It proves nothing about the government nor conspiracies. It just points out that there are a few bad apples in any organization, even the police. Given that NYC has one of the largest police forces in the world, why does it surprise anyone that there are occasionally reports of corruption?

It points out that there are a lot of bad apples, which proves my point. Bad apples are endemic to government.
Interesting.Few bad apples translates into a lot of bad apples proving conmspiracy...

This is a typically subtle piece of well-poisoning by RedIbis. I'm not sure whether it's Stundie-able because it's actually quite intelligently dishonest; he's trying to imply that it's highly suspicious that a piece of debris was at some point very close to the bucket that dug it up. It actually takes a moment's thought to understand how stupid a suggestion that is.

Dave

Damn, there doesn't appear to be much enthusiasm for your nomination. It's been awhile, that I'm aware of, of being nominated. Hopefully, I can bring some attention to my obvious gaff, but when I put it in context, as I've done with other unsuccessful nominations, this will neutralize its stundiliousness.

I was not implying that the suspicion comes from the proximity. The suspicion comes from the fact that that engine fan was not so close to the rim in every shot taken of the crash site the day of the attacks. This photograph was obviously staged to suggest the fan is being dug out by the backhoe. If anything, the backhoe probably dropped it there.

Unfortunately, I don't think I'll ever get this illustrious prize. I'll have to try to post more, let it fly. A Stundie would be a prestigious prize from such a distinguished forum. If anything Travis will give me a mercy inclusion on the list, but I'm not that hopeful.

You missed this one:

Cross hairs were permanently inscribed into the cameras lenses. This means that all pictures taken would have to have those cross hairs in front of every object. But in some pictures you can see these cross hairs behind objects like rocks, and equipment.

Magic cameras that can see behind rocks

In honor of his passing I will have a special, separate, poll for the late Ultima next month.

BTW I just noticed I'm in your sig Blender Head. Awesome. How long has that been the case?

Really? You've got another picture of the rotor in a different location? The "rim" where the engine was buried had obviously been dug up considerably at that point as can be seen by its abrupt, jagged nature (compare with pre-excavation photos) as well as the huge pile of dirt behind the excavator bucket. The rim, of course, would expand as the excavation progresses. Duh.

From within the Stundie thread itself, we have this little gem from RedIbis:

Aside from wondering what the meaning of the word "proximity" might therefore actually be, I admire the suggestion that the rim of an excavated trench cannot possibly have moved over the course of the day on which it was excavated.

Unfortunately, I don't think the voters will share in your appreciation of this little bit of tedium, but I think it's charming how you believe that the engine fan was dug up in that location.

And I await breathlessly your presentation of photographic evidence suggesting that it wasn't.

Let's just hope that you are able to find something that will bring home the big prize. I don't like the odds on this one.
