I can post a longer review if anyone wants. If there are any "foodies" out there, I discovered a nice place week before last on a business trip to Vegas. It's called "Off the Strip, Just Real Food" and yes, it's off The Strip.

The chef (Al) and his brother Tom, a couple of transplants from Brooklyn (if memory serves) own the place. Al and the other chefs personally come to your table to talk to you if you want. You can pretty much order whatever you want. Off the menu, change the menu, personalize in any way you want. Way cool if you are a foodie.

The menu emphasizes Italian, but they can make pretty much anything, depending on what fresh ingredients they have in stock that day. Steaks, fish, you name it.

The kitchen is open so you can watch the line operating.

The place is small, seating about 40 or so, with another 10 at the bar. If a lot of people decided to go there, getting there early (before 6 PM) would be a great advantage.

The food rocked. The atmosphere (for this foodie) rocked.

And it's more or less just across the freeway from South Point -- maybe a 10-15 minute cab ride at best.
