Split Thread AA77 FBI Investigation [split from: AA77 FDR Data, Explained]

Explain the distinction between a criminal investigation and collecting evidence.

Well let me make this simple.

Collecting evidence is just picking up things.

A crime scene investigation involves investigating all aspects off what happened.

Sorry, we all get the idea that collecting evidence is part of a criminal investigation. You have failed.

The investigation, as everyone understands, began right after the FBI arrived on the scene.

So you are trying to say that picking up evidence, is not part of the investigation? Really?
Careful what you say next!

The crime scene investiagtion starts when they state it officially starts, not by just picking up things.

Picking up evidence is not part any type of criminal investigation.

....interesting....

Sort of like a person isn't officially dead, even though he has been riddled with a hundred bullets, until the coroner says he's dead.

Look, I'm not trying to be unkind. Don't respond, just listen.

I tell you that my exercise regimen consists of stretching exercises, resistance exercises, and aerobic exercise. If you watch me stretching and tell me that I haven't yet begun my routine, you're wrong. No matter what you do, you can never be right. I have already defined my regimen as consisting of stretching, weights, and aerobics.

A criminal investigation consists of collecting evidence, interviewing witnesses, examining the evidence, evaluating that evidence and the witness testimony, and drawing conclusions. When FBI agents collect evidence and interview witnesses, THEY ARE CONDUCTING AN INVESTIGATION. You can never prevail here. Whether you suffer from massive cognitive dissonance or you are attempting to restructure the English language, you can NEVER persuade anybody that the FBI's investigation didn't commence immediately after they arrived on the scene.

If you are a member of the FBI, working on the crime scene, then yes.

Perhaps you should learn more about how investigations work....it would help you.

If i pick up a piece of evidence does that mean the crime scene investigation has started?

If you are the investigator, it does, and they were!

GAME OVER, be mature enough to admit you are wrong, again!

ETA:Gav& FW beat me...damn slow typing!
