"Rebellion brewing" in GOP base

After 2004 people were writing obituaries for the Democrats as well. Each party has an up and a down phase that more or less coincides with the stock market.
In 2005 I began commenting obituarily regarding the GOP, unless they did some cranial removal from anal regions, but hubris was well established as the word of the day. (See also reading own BS and believing it.)

So, 2006 and 2008 were the predictable result. Failure to adapt is not generally useful as a habit.

Whether you're a European leftist or an America liberal, it's all the same; America is a great source of evil in the world and must never be defended.

I see slavery and racism as things that America has worked hard to overcome ... snip ...
GIven that they were imported from Europe into America in the first place :) along with Christianity.

Predictable? Hard to say. Lot of "ifs" there. If they had found Bin Laden or WMDs. If there had been another terrorist attack. If the economy hadn't cratered suddenly...

Lots of things could have made a difference. The American voter has a shorter memory than most goldfish.

No. The WMD issues was solved in 2004, in terms of non presence.

The economy was being abused, as was our deficit and debt, by having two wars and two tax cuts, together.

No will to unscrew housing bubble. No will to deal with the border.

Tricky, I damn near voted Kerry. Had he shown any leadership potential, it would have tipped it. I was somehwat pissed at Bush by about Oct 2004.
