Why haven't they released all of the consfiscated video footage? Is this available via FoIA? Also, why were the FBI so quick to respond and confiscate dozens of cameras recordings?

"Hotel employees sat watching the film in shock and horror several times before the FBI confiscated the video as part of its investigation"
- Bill Gertz, Washington Times

"I've never seen what the pictures looked like. The FBI was here within minutes and took the film."
- National Geographic News

IIRC, they already have.

I think my head is going to explode.

This topic has been done to death here...somebody, quick, with the links, before I completely lose it.

85 videos
The videos taken from the Pentagon area after the 9/11 attacks were mentioned in the Maguire declaration, where FBI Special Agent, Jacqueline Maguire responded (see below) to a request from Scott Bingham.

In Summary:
She determined that the FBI had 85 videotaptes that might be relevant. Of those, 56 "of these videotapes did not show either the Pentagon building, the Pentagon crash site, or the impact of Flight 77 into the Pentagon on September 11."
Of the 29 remaining videotapes, 16 "did not show the Pentagon crash site and did not show the impact of Flight 77 into the Pentagon."
Of the 13 remaining tapes which showed the Pentagon crash site, 12 "only showed after the impact of Flight 77."
The videotape taken from the Citgo gas station did not show the impact.
No videotapes were located from the Sheraton Hotel, though she located a videotape from the Doubletree Hotel.

I would suggest that the FBI, with its background in law enforcement, would be keenly interested in maintaining a chain of custody of potential video evidence. After all, aside from the physical evidence scattered on the grounds (and flight path) and inside the Pentagon, they would really have only eye witness reports.

Who knows what a particular camera saw unless someone has a chance to review it? Who knows what critical piece of information or evidence might be lost because the tape was lost, destroyed, erased, or ebayed? Secure the potential evidence first then look and see if it actually evidence.

As it was, almost all the video had virtually no value in showing the crash of AA77, but the FBI couldn't know that in advance.

Also video from private sources, such as the Citco station, would belong to the private sources not the government. As I understand it, it would not be for the government to release the video without the permission of the sources.

No bueno.

Well that really chaps my hide. That was a great resource for truthers and debunkers alike. I hope whoever took it down is happy.

I guess somebody is afraid of the real truth.

Yes that was an old assumption, many of us here subscribed to.
We were wrong.
The Citgo footage was released in September 2006, following a FOIA request.

That's John Farmer's former site, I believe. He posts here as 911files.

Wasn't that a John Farmer, known as 911files here, run site?

ETA: Sparky beat me.

It's really a shame, he was uploading all kinds of audio and video files, stuff that he personally FOIA'ed and he was putting up a lot of it. Mr. Farmer, if you happen onto this thread, will you be starting a new site?
when he showed up here.
I have abandoned the 911files.info project. I was going to use your cool banner, but I have decided to post any new research here at JREF.

Here's a thread of FBI tapes by John.
I received 2 DVD's from the FBI this morning as an interim release for FOIA 1078686-000. I have one converted to MPG and uploaded, but I'm trying to get the second one trimmed down in file size (wmv file) so that it can be accessed on the web (currently 700mb). I'll post a link for both, although the NE485 link may not be operative for a few hours while I trim it down.

Yes, AAL77.COM is down for the count. When I came over to JREF, someone had hacked it and corrupted the php code. So, I changed to html. Then someone recently hacked it and added some very nasty virus code to the html pages.

All direct links to files stored there are still good, only the html pages have been removed. Anyone needing a particular file or data can contact me for a direct link. A number of researchers still have direct access to the files, but obviously I need to keep that circle very limited.

Update:

I dropped by the CIT boys house to see if anything was new and found that they noticed the site being down as well.

Yeah right. Funny how everyone else on the internet has no problem maintaining a website.

So as predicted, he has completely disappeared and taken the fruits of all his hard labor completely out of the public domain.

Obviously his failure to control the info and get us to fall into his numerous traps has taken its toll and he can't be effective as a full blown jrefer so he has been given his walking papers much like Pickering.

Sorry but no honest researcher would delete all their accomplishments unless they have decided they were wrong. But there is not an honest bone in this guy's body. He has clearly been deemed ineffective and given his order to disappear.

This guy has been THE main conduit for govt released data the past couple of years and now EVERYTHING he has ever done is gone.

He was clearly assigned to CIT since we were his primary focus so this is no coincidence folks. He failed and we prevailed.

It really says a lot that all of our most intensely focused detractors have been forced to give up and go away. Pickering, Larson, and now Farmer.

Another one bites the dust!

Sad children. What they don't realize is all the material is still there for serious researchers. I just have to keep the children out of the cookie jar. And yes CIT, I am a super NWO agent assigned especially to you. Looks like I did my job well because you guys seem to be about as significant as the recent piggy flu outbreak.
