Can you please tell us why they fire proof steel columns then?
Fire proofing does not protect steel from thermite. Suoer-hot thermite cuts right through fireproofing.

nano-thermite is an explosive. Thermite is not.
Truthers have been blathering about this "discovery" for a while now. And yet as of this morning, I see no mention of it in the MSM, nor do I see any mention of any formal proceedings taking place to re-investigate 9/11, populist or otherwise.
Galileo, when do anticipate this verifiable discovery of explosives will have any sort of real-world impact?
offcie fires makes a hell of a lot more sense than assuming magical thermite can burn for 14 weeksNot if it is spaced out and reacts unevenly. Do you think it was the office fires that burned for 14 weeks?
IIRC, the "thermite reaction" that was recorded when the chip was lit was basically instantaneous. The issue is not how hot the fire got, but how long it would have to stay that hot to heat the steel to that temp. The scientifically challenged twoofers like Galileo seem to think that the heat transfer is instantaneous. Anyone who has taken metal shop in school knows different.
So which one are you claiming was present?
You have highly compressed combustible material in an insulated space. I bet it's the same phenomenon that has kept underground coal fires burning for decades and even centuries. Are you going to claim that thermite is responsible for that as well? Not if it is spaced out and reacts unevenly. Do you think it was the office fires that burned for 14 weeks?

Much of the solid thermite stayed underground, while much of the nano-thermite floated away in the dust.

http://www.smithsonianmag.com/travel/10013541.htmlScientists estimate that Australia’s Burning Mountain, the oldest known coal fire, has burned for 6,000 years.
Also, if all they needed was super-duper-nano-therm*te, why would the need regular old thermite as well?
I've checked the news again this morning. Still no mention of explosives residue found at the WTC site. No mention of a re-investigation into 9/11. No mention of a populist uprising spurred by the news that 9/11 may have been an inside job.
What gives?

if you want to prove your point, get some thermite and see if you can keep a continuous reaction going for 14 weeks, heck, try 1 week to start, see what you can do
I'm sorry, wikipedia is not a legitimate source. It is not peer reviewed by scientists and anyone can post stuff there.
It is not the type or material that a 4th grader should be exposed to.
Now again, please explain why the fires burned underground for over three months.
The thermite found by the scientific team explains it very well.
thermite does not explain 14 week fires, since it wouldnt stay hot for that longI said the thermite explains the super-hot spots detetected by NASA thermal images, the reported molten steel, the molten steel seen dripping from WTC 2, and the fact that the fires burned underground for 14 weeks.
seeing as how thermite is not an explosive i fail to see how it explains explosionsIt explains why hundreds of people heard explosions prior to the destruction of the three towers. It explains what Barry Jennings, Michael Hess, and Willie Rodriguez heard. It explains why WTC 7 fell down, even though it did not have any jet fuel in it nor had any fireproofing dislodged.
they failed to prove it was thermite by burning it in an oxygen rich environment, the wildly deviant enthalpies they recorded also dont bolster their caseThe scientific team found that the residue was indeed from thermite.
That's why I like to use the Dresden and Japan fire bombings for comparison. Thousands of tons of thermite bombs were dropped and didn't burn for months. In Japan, the wood structures burned easily, but in Dresden, they dropped high explosive, air-burst bombs to blow off the roofs so the thermite could have something to burn. Yet those fires were out in days, not months.millenia even

of course the same process wouldnt work for thermite, these fires burn a long time because oxygen is restricted underground, thermite is self oxidizing so a lack of oxygen wouldnt slow it down, it would still burn fast as ever
making it react continuously for 14 weeks would require some sort of magicThermite is not a magical substance. Its properties are known by scientists, not by magicians and alchemists.
The explosive residue was analyzed and reported on by Dr. Steven Jones a few years ago. Now his discovery has been confirmed by an international team of scientists.
