Thermitic Pyrotechnics in the WTC Made Simple

Great question! My fourth grader was just asking the same thing. I showed him this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mine_fire

Anyhow, Gal, you keep claiming those folks are "scientists." That is not my understanding. Why don't you share the background on all of the folks signing their pay to publish paper.

I'm sorry, wikipedia is not a legitimate source. It is not peer reviewed by scientists and anyone can post stuff there.

It is not the type or material that a 4th grader should be exposed to.

Now again, please explain why the fires burned underground for over three months.

The thermite found by the scientific team explains it very well.

I know you didn't just say that?

Please explain to me how thermite would keep fires underground hot for THREE MONTHS!

This should be good.

Don't answer my question with a question.

Why did the fires burn underground for over three months, despite all the water dumped on it?

This should be good.

I am not answering your question, nor do I think you directed one at me.

You made the comment that Thermite, as proposed by those "scientists" explains very well how the fires were maintained for 3 months underground, so I asked you to explain it for me oh clone of Galileo.

Note that the scientific team has never suggested that an underground thermite reaction could be sustained for three months. How exactly do you propose that such a thing could have happened?

Are you now admitting that there was thermite, but that even 100 tons of it would not be enough to maintain an underground fire for three months?

I am directing my question to everyone on the JREF forum.

Are you now admitting that there was thermite, but that even 100 tons of it would not be enough to maintain an underground fire for three months?

So, are you know claiming that 100 tons of unburned thermite was left in the underground fires? Or, are you claiming that 100 tons of thermite was clandestinely brought into the towers to bring them down?

Galileo,
How long would a 10.000 ton pile of termite take to burn, 10 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours?

Do you you think anyone nearby would notice the light?

How long bould it take to cool off?

I'm claiming that thermite was used to destroy the Twin Towers and WTC 7.

Neil Harrit said that he estimated there were between 10 tonnes and 100 tonnes of thermite in the WTC, based on the amount of thermite in the dust samples. He also said other explosives could have been used as well.

He's prepared to claim ANYTHING, no matter how contradictory, or listen to ANYBODY, reputable or not, that supports his beliefs. It's what ideologues (and reincarnations of long-dead famous scientists, I guess) do.

People noticed the fires until December 19, 2001. I'd say it would take about 14 weeks to cool off.

An explosive reaction that takes 90 days?

Why don't you tell us why fires burned underground until December 19, 2001.

They dumped enough water on ground zero to create a small lake. I guess thermite fires are not easy to put out.

? I thought you were claiming that this thermite was an explosive?

The scientific paper Active Thermitic Material Discovered in Dust from the 9/11 World Trade Center Catastrophe provides, quite simply, proof that explosives were used in the destruction of the Twin Towers.

Are you trying to claim that this "explosive" burned for 3 months?

I guess you guys are forgetting this is NANO-thermite, and "nano" is Latin for "does whatever we need it to in order to fit a stupid theory."

"underground" is a key word there, makes it a bit tricky to get water to it

if you say that youd be wrong , thermite reacts much too quickly to keep going for 14 weeks

IIRC, the "thermite reaction" that was recorded when the chip was lit was basically instantaneous. The issue is not how hot the fire got, but how long it would have to stay that hot to heat the steel to that temp. The scientifically challenged twoofers like Galileo seem to think that the heat transfer is instantaneous. Anyone who has taken metal shop in school knows different.

Not if it is spaced out and reacts unevenly. Do you think it was the office fires that burned for 14 weeks?
