Evidence for why we know the New Testament writers told the truth.

He responded but didn't answer the question.

Yes, I saw this from previous, and responded to it by addressing DOC's continued reliance on a misuse of Jefferson. DOC continually fails to note that Jefferson is speaking about Jesus' words after he (Jefferson) has edited and reorganized them.

But DOC fails to address the primary contradiction in his own words.

I have no problem reading Geisler's 10 reasons (after it downloads) starting on page 275 of his book when I use this site:

http://books.google.com/books?id=PC...Geisler+10+reasons&client=firefox-a#PPA275,M1

If it doesn't work for you do a Google book search and punch in -- Geisler 10 reasons --
It doesn't work for me, as I've stated more than once. I wonder if it's dependent on which country you're in?

So, perhaps you could just type out the one argument you find most convincing, and we could discuss that?

So the molecules that make up the skin can be cut. So the molecules that make up the heart can beat. So the molecules that make up the joints are bendy.

It's one thing to not agree that consciousness requires a physical substrate, it's another thing to be inane about it. On the mindboggling chance that DOC actually doesn't know what kmortis and pax are claiming, here it is: intellect, memory, consciousness, emotions...all that soul stuff...it's what the brain does. They are activities and processes that take place in the brain. Your insinuation that the brain is some lump of flesh that adds up to no more than a random assortment of molecules is a gross misrepresentation of what people who believe consciousness is a function of the brain are saying.

Maybe to DOC, Soul = electrons.

It's ELECTRIC!
Boogie woogie oogie oogie.

Whilst we wait for DOC to answer my exceedingly simple question from ELEVENTY sunrises ago, here's some 'Soul Music'

My exceedingly simple question from ELEVENTY sunrises ago:

If a messiah did come doesn't it seem logical that he would preach the most moral and sublime teachings ever known to man.

You don't feed babies prime rib. Jesus was speaking in ways the unlightened of that time could digest. That's why he spoke in parables.

Serious question: How do these two seemingly incongruous statements gel - in your view - DOC?

Doc never answers awkward questions, especially about his frequent 180 degree turns, that's not the christian way.Ignore them and full steam ahead into yet more ignorance, that is his policy.

I only come to see what post number we are at

I take it the square root of 0 has been proved so far?

Sorry, you only asked that question 22 times, I believe 24 is the threshold.

Did you know The Gospel writer Luke has been called a first rate historian by a famous secular archaeologist who subsequently converted to Christianity?

Or that the Mormon religion believes God exists in "human form" on or near the planet or star Kolob?

Or that there were 10 non-Christian written sources for Christ and/or Christianity within 150 years of his life but only 9 non-Christian written sources for a Roman Emperor of the time. Or that including Christian sources there were 44 written sources for Christianity and/or Christ and 10 written sources for the Roman Emperor.

Or that there were several thousand manuscripts found concerning the gospels but only a very few 7 to 25 found concerning the works of Plato or the Roman Historian Tacitus.

If you didn't know any of these facts before, then you learned them from my posts.

Actually, you are right, I did learn a few things from you.
But then, three new things in 650 plus posts make for a very poor batting average, not to mention the many times when you were demonstrably wrong.

Anyway, I stand corrected, my lack of confidence about this particular statement of mine was indeed justified.

Did I need to know that there is an imaginary planet called Kolob?

Actually one could find 10 non Jehovah Witness historical records documenting their existence over the last 150 years - but that doesn't mean they are right.

And Greediguts demonstrated how that quote was deceptively mined to make it appear that this was true, when in fact, the quote as originally written destroys any claim of biblical certitude.

Any further reference to this will lead to further call-outs of your dishonesty.

What quote are you talking about and what is G... post?

I'm catching up from the weekend, but I didn't see where DOC, when he directly asked for what question I wanted him to answer actually answered it.

Is it still the case that he has not addressed Six7s' very simple question that the forum community in general requested he answer?

Yes, I answered his very simple question with a very simple answer.
