Evidence for why we know the New Testament writers told the truth.

None that you have read or heard, perhaps

N.B. You really, really don't know everything

Turn up the volume and be prepared to learn

My computer does not have much memory and I have dial up. It takes forever to download anything off those sites.

There might be theories and models out there but the bottom line is there has never been an experiment that created a living cell from non living materials. Translation: no proof.

Alas, reality doesn't bend to accommodate your failings

Stop lying for Jesus, DOC

I think you have too much time on your hands. And the very first quote I looked at was cut off in middle sentence and you put a period at the end of it instead of a comma. Why not just leave the comma in, so people know you cut it off in the middle of the sentence. I'm not even going to waste my time going over the other "out of context" ones.
Doc, you always ask people to read your posts. I am just pointing out how many times in your posts you refer to the number of posts you make.

I am not asking you to go over them. They are all from this thread and I cut out the irrelevant bits to leave the number of times you refer to your post count. Sometimes that will be part of a sentence, other times the full sentence, on many occasions the full post.

People are free to click the links if they want.

The context you are missing is you asked people to read your 650 posts. I am just pointing out that anyone that chooses to do so will spend a lot of their time simply reading a ticker on your post count. This is not the only repetition you are guilty of.

That you refer to your post count so often makes me think you think it important. I have twice the posts of Elisabeth I in this thread yet have probably contributed less than half as much information, argument or critique. Do not confuse quantity with quality.

I agree that I learned a lot in this thread. But, to be honest, I am not sure any of it was from DOC.

Did you know The Gospel writer Luke has been called a first rate historian by a famous secular archaeologist who subsequently converted to Christianity?

Or that the Mormon religion believes God exists in "human form" on or near the planet or star Kolob?

Or that there were 10 non-Christian written sources for Christ and/or Christianity within 150 years of his life but only 9 non-Christian written sources for a Roman Emperor of the time. Or that including Christian sources there were 44 written sources for Christianity and/or Christ and 10 written sources for the Roman Emperor.

Or that there were several thousand manuscripts found concerning the gospels but only a very few 7 to 25 found concerning the works of Plato or the Roman Historian Tacitus.

If you didn't know any of these facts before, then you learned them from my posts.

You have been asked to explain 100s and 100s of posts that really don't make sense

Alert me when you've whittled those 100s down to one

Name 2 or these alleged 100's of posts where the poster said my post didn't make sense and asked me to explain it.

Doc, I have learnt a lot from your threads. What I haven't learned is "Evidence for why we know the New Testament writers told the truth." If you still think any of the above statements of yours are evidence we can tell you again why you are wrong.

Why should six7s "name" any posts where the poster said your post didn't make sense? That wasn't the claim made. In case you missed it, here it is again:

It just says your posts didn't make sense, not that people posted that your posts don't make sense.

Well, I took the wording "why we know the New Testament writers told the truth" from Geisler's book which I credited in the very first post and also listed the chapter number.

He might have been directing that wording to the Christian community. If I had to write the thread heading over I would say "Evidence that the NT writers told the truth." But this doesn't change the main point of the statement, that being that we have evidence that the NT writers told the truth and here it is.

Well then let me ask him to give "only 3" of these alleged hundreds of posts that don't make sense.

If you still think that I suggest you need to reread the thread, and not just your posts.

And if you don't think that I suggest you need to reread the thread and especially read all the pages in the 2 websites given in post 2865.

You mean the list of "fun facts" found in the Bible that somehow makes your fiction seem more plausible?

I could list MORE real facts that has occured in the Spiderman comics. You know silly things like Broadway, New York City, 9/11, Barack Obama as president for starters. I could go back decades for more real "fun facts".
