Bigfoot: The Patterson Gimlin Film - Part 3

Crow, how about the obvious wristband that holds the glove to the sleeve? Any thoughts on how to explain that away?

The discussion was about the thigh lines not wrist bands. However why don't you create a discussion to the wrist bands.

I wish this were true. I'd make a pilgrimage to see such a pop culture relic. Maybe it could be housed at the Smithsonian along with Archie Bunker's easy chair.

As others on this forum have speculated, I think the suit was destroyed long ago. Why keep evidence of the hoax around if there's a financial interest in maintaining the hoax?

Here's a bit of provocative PGF info. There was a poster in the last year at BFF who mentioned that while doing a maintenance job at some unnamed rich fellows house he stumbled on something very interesting. This fellow had a collection room filled with unusual artifacts. One of the items was encased in a glass case and was labeled as the suit from the Patterson film. It looked a little weathered, but identical to the film. He stated he would try and sneak a camera next job he had there.

What you're failing to take into account is that Patty's shoulder to leg posture is quite different between the posture of the "turn" sequence and the posture of her walking dead straight away from Patterson. When she turns her upper body is twisting which would draw the arm closer to the body allowing the hand/wrist/forearm to more easily brush the thigh.
Evidence ?

I tried it myself.. Doesn't happen.. My hand actually went out further from my body ..

You might want to wiki ' centrifugal force ', Crow

It's a great post you've linked there. It looks better like this though:

I've long held the opinion that the PGF suit was destroyed within a month of Patterson's return from Bluff Creek.
The only animal that's shown on that film is Patty. Which happens to be a real live Sasquatch.
Make up your own mind. I have.

Long held!

The centrigfugal forces going on during the turn are extremly mild we're not looking at an ice skater twirling. BTW better off with nookie since wiki is about the biggest source of crap info in cyber space. Surely you jest that you'd stoop to that swamp of wisdom.

I tried it myself and my arm didn't go flying out from centrifugal force but it did brush my leg.

Guess it depends on the size of your thighs ..

I had plenty of clearance ..

Not surprised you have a problem with wiki ... Hang in there.. You are a great contributor to these discussions ..

Your conclusion could not have possibly been any different. Its not the size of the thighs. Its the size of the mind where you're running a little thin.

You've already seen the methodology posted that explains the flaws with such an attempt by Bigfoot enthusiasts to show a huge Patty.

BTW, notice the letters "NASI" in the bottom of that picture. That would be the same NASI that put Patty around 2000 lbs. Go team!

Your cherry picking again. Why not focus on the height, which can be measured, instead of the weight, which cant.

Do you understand what the concept of cherry-picking means? Can you explain with any sense how I am cherry-picking?

You must be having some kind of aneurysm. Do you smell burnt toast at all? I am focusing on the height. 5, that's 5, count 'em sources that put Patty's height at about 6ft. All math and proper-like. Your measurement is ass. My source explains why in explicit detail. Your cite is on some kind of 'ludes. They came up with insane numbers like near 2000 lbs. Dude, I chewing you like Hubba-Bubba.

Say, the guy holding the pole wouldn't be the son of Al Hodgson, would he, makaya?

Because if he is, well, he's got a vested interest.

How did they determine that the pole is the same distance from the camera as Patty?

Also, if Patty looked that huge, what accounts for Roger and Bob's descriptions?

Patty looks orders of magnitude larger than Mike in the comparison image.

Patterson's report to the newspaper that night is only 6.5 to 7 feet and only 350-400 pounds.

Leaving their horses tethered at their campsite, the two men started out in their truck for a local airport, probably Murray Field in Arcata. On their way, they stopped at Hodgson's store in Willow Creek to talk to their friend, Al Hodgson. As it was after 6:00 p.m., however, the store was closed. Patterson therefore telephoned Hodgson at his home. Hodgson and other friends, including Sly McCoy, thereupon met with Patterson and Gimlin, presumably at Hodgson's store. Patterson and Gimlin then related their experience to their friends. Also, during this time Patterson telephone Al De Atley to inform him of the pending film shipment. Patterson shipped the film to the Seattle, Washington airport for pick-up by De Atley the next day.

So it's getting late on Friday and I need to air ship this film. So why do I stop at my friend Al's closed store on the way to the airport? It's already after 6. When I find the store closed, why do I call Al and wait for him and friends to meet me and waste time telling them the story? Why don't I go straight to the airport and worry about telling Al when I get back, or call him from the airport?

Why don't I know that my friend Al's store is going to be closed after 6 on a Friday? Why isn't my plan to go straight to the airport with the film and make any necessary phone calls from there?
