So in this case where a woman would be more powerful than the man, managed to keep the gun aimed on him during the act, and of course the guy would need to have an erection, highly unlikely in those circumstances, it still has to be absurdly rare.

Well, yes. It is extremely rare. You asked how it could happen. It could, and has. Not often, but men have bitten dogs, too.

For an erection to occur it is only necessary to stimulate the penis, not the guy attached to it.

As far as the overpowering of a man by a woman being hard to believe goes I have only one thing to say:

Woody Allen? Meet Chyna.

I'm 5'7" and weighed 140 lbs when I had a g/f who'd been to jail frequently for assault, was on anti-psychotics, weighed 180, and benched over 200. She wasn't violent with me during the (brief) relationship, but when it was over that may have been because I'd call the police whenever she'd show up at the door. One time I forgot to lock it and didn't get to it before she'd turned the knob. We had a shoving match with the door inbetween and she won easily. I considered grabbing a nearby baseball bat and beating her with it, as I was legitimately fearful, and didn't think my boxing experience would beat her streetfighting experience. But I didn't want to injure her, and didn't want to go to jail myself, and didn't want her to seize the bat and escalate a fray that may "only" have ended with me lying on the floor bruised...luckily I repeated that the cops were on the way and she had a rational moment, then fled the premises.

A restraining order, a move across town carried out in the dead of night, unlisted phone number, and my supervisor screening my calls at work took care of it though. Mostly.

True, she was usually bad, but she was also hawt! The femme fatale is undeniable a sexual object. Her "badness" was a result generally of her other activities such as murder, not the seduction.

True, but one has to admit, her seduction and the murder are hard to separate; after all, if she's so seductive, it's already demonstrating she's not quite so innocent...

The femme fatale seems, in a way, to be a reincarnation of such concepts as Lillith or the succubus.

During my freshman year in high school, an instructor used to rub my shoulders in class. Years later he was fired after child porn was found on his computers; apparently he had a thing for young boys. I always thought the rubbing was a bit weird, but I didn't care. And I still don't.

Sorta getting back on track here.

Part of how I was sexually assaulted when I was 9 involved the attacker using a small vibrator to get me erect despite me not wanting anything to do with what was going on. I can remember trying to command myself to not respond and yet....it did.

So, yes, not only are erections sometimes not controllable but they can be induced by someone else against your will.

Teenage boys maybe. But adult men get erections because they are aroused. Women are not aroused when they are raped.

I suppose you also know more about golf than Tiger Woods too.

1 female disagrees with multiple males on this matter.

Seriously...

Alex.

Off-topic related fact:
I have read evolutionary psychologists claim rape is more traumatic for women because the choosier sex has the potential to get pregnant. A rape-baby disrupts breeding.

<snip>

Stimulate it and make it hard. You're overestimating the male mind's control of the organ.

Yes, most of the processing and control of erection (and ejaculation IIRC) takes place in the spinal cord.

http://www.springerlink.com/content/g142011518831450/

Summary

Smooth muscle relaxation of penile arteries, the corpus cavernosum, and the corpus spongiosum, leading to penile erection, results from parasympathetic neural pathway activation and, likely, simultaneous inhibition of sympathetic outflow. Proerectile parasympathetic outflow is reflexively activated by sensory information of peripheral origin, conveyed by the dorsal penile nerve, and reflexive erections are supported by an intraspinal circuitry. Supraspinal influences modulate the reflex. Information integrated at or originating from supraspinal structures may also elicit penile erection. Several neurotransmitters are involved in either the modulation of the spinal reflex or the mediation of supraspinal influences. Spinal cord injury differently alters reflexive penile erection or erection from a central origin, depending on the neurologic level of injury.

Can a mod split the LoneWulf/ConspiRaider inanity, please? Can you two please STFU? Seriously.

Does a guy need the woman to be aroused to rape her? I assume you are being facetious since rape is a violent act and unless you are talking statutory rape, which we are not, women do not have climaxes when raped.

Let me be blunt: How is the woman supposed to get that flaccid thing to go in? [/quote
You are wrong on so many levels, it's really quite astonishing.
1) Women do sometimes get orgasms when raped (evidence has been posted, in case you are incredulous);
2) Men can get erections without being aroused;
3) Arousal is not the same thing as consent;
4) Men can get raped without having erections, in fact, anal rape is probably the most common form of male rape.

This thread is pretty much full of fail.

Edited to add the rape here excludes the guy who is asleep or intoxicated. The point is can a woman physically force a man to have an erection and subsequently rape him?
Yes she can. That's all there is to it.

To paraphrase Skeptigirl, I have my own hypotheses as to why this is... :boxedin:
:newlol

Um, seriously? Do you really not know how the wang actually works?
Yeah, really.

Male. Once. 14 years old. Summer vacation in Las Vegas. My folks were at the casinos, so I went shopping. Quite a ways off the strip, bought a couple of board-games. The walk back to the motel was really hot, so when a car pulled up and offered a ride, I jumped in. Rusted-out station wagon, older guy (deep tan, 50, scraggly gray beard) driving, very friendly, complimentary, asking me if he'd "picked up a movie star or something?", me blushing. He starts talking about his daughter working at the Mustang Ranch (whorehouse), and how she and I ought to get together (me blushing, a bit nervous). Then starts asking, "so what you got under that package, eh? let's see what you got," and reaching for my lap, where I was holding, tightly, onto my board-games (me scared, but we're on the strip now, hoping it's all a joke maybe, thinking of a way out). He keeps grabbing for my lap, calling me "honey", I keep fending him off, smiling like it's a game, trying not to panic. Finally, he's so preoccupied with me he crashes lightly into a car stopped at lights in front of us. One second later, I'm out of the car and walking down the street as fast as I can (without running, don't want to make a scene or have to stick around and explain). Only a few minutes from the motel, no one's there when I get back. I sit on the bed, take a deep breath... and then suddenly all the strength just saps from my body, and I collapse on the bed. I can't move for about half an hour. I guess the realization of how close I'd come to something really bad happening hit me all at once, and I went into shock, or something. Afterwards, when my folks show up, I don't say anything. I feel stupid and guilty, want to forget the whole thing. Don't want to spoil the Vegas vacation.

I know now I was lucky. It's trauma enough just being put in that position, even if "nothing" really happens. I've since met some real victims. Ruined lives. Sexual assault is on a par with attempted murder, in my mind.

Back on topic, I have to say that despite this not being a scientific poll and perhaps having loose/undetermined definitions of "sexual assuault", I am saddened and appalled at the number of Yes votes (voted no, female, myself). If it's remotely a hint of how often it happens, it's really frightening. :(

I was seduced at 14 years old. Not exactly a "graduate" moment but not unpleasant. She was my friends Aunt. Funny thing is, every time I tell the story she gets better looking and i enjoyed it more, Truth is she was horrible in every way, I was more bemused than anything else. Not sure how old she was, I would guess, late thirties.
On a more serious note I hope she didn't repeat it with someone who wasn't just bemused. It was assault.

From this description, it seems like you consented, and enjoyed it, and you look back on it fondly, and that only after being "educated" that it was wrong, do you declare it assault. Even though you still look back on it fondly.

Unless I'm missing something.

I agree. :(

No, it isn't. What's the denominator?

Don't be too angry at your girlfriend. I was once told the same thing by a sex-ed instructor in 10th grade!

And the instructor wasn't a woman, either.

For what it is worth, it isn't entirely unheard of for women to experience orgasms during rape. I remember a Court TV show on a serial rapist who performed oral sex on all of his victims and usually succeeded in having them climax because he wanted to believe that they enjoyed it.

It's a mechanical response and doesn't signify enjoyment, of course.
That guys name was Eddie Rabbit.

I notice this startling misunderstanding by women when it comes to male on male rape or female on male rape regarding the penis being erect or not. This is irrelevant, since it is the rape victim getting penetrated, not the rapist. If the penis is flaccid, this in no way prevents a man from getting raped by another man or a woman using a dildo. As explained before, some women are "wet" or aroused during forced penetration, but this is still rape, and it is still very traumatizing. If a man is erect, either due to being aroused or some other stimulation(something some women do not understand is that the penis can sometimes become erect for non-sexual reasons) and he is forcibly anally penetrated, he is still getting raped or victimized.

Female on male rape is extremely rare. I don't think it was mentioned even once on "Leave it to Beaver" when I was growing up; the overwhelming majority of male rape victims were raped by other men. Is seems the misunderstanding about penises assumes a woman is "raping" a man by forcing his erect penis into her vagina. This is almost too ridiculous to comment on, but maybe in those very rare cases of female on male rape, it might happen. Real female on male rape would involve a dildo or some other object of penetration that could be used to penetrate the anus. A woman who would do such a thing is pretty much in the same category as female serial killers.

I also notice that some people think that men cannot be raped, only women can be raped. Maybe they are even right, and a different word or phrase, perhaps "sexual assault" would better describe male on male or female on male or female on female "rape". Regardless of what it is called, it is a criminal act and it is very traumatic on the victim.

Parents would be wasting their time educating their teenage sons or daughters about female rapists(except perhaps for statutory rape, but that is a whole other issue) who prey on men(or lesbians who prey on other women)since they are almost non-existent, but it would make sense to warn their sons about men who rape other men.

I personally cannot imagine myself in a situation where I end up getting raped by a woman.

Good post.

...Off-topic but I can't help but notice that at least 10 topics on page 1 are related to sex one way or another. Wonder what's going on with JREFers... autumn fever? :boxedin:
