Questions like these have been asked by several people like a dozen times, but until now, The Professor has ignored all questions about the details of his performance. He wasn't even able to say such a basic thing as whether the voices will be audible or will appear only on the recording media.

That must be some strange new kind of negotiation, which works by avoiding any mention of the claim.

Indeed, as we can see, the negotiations have not started yet. Instead, The Professor spends his time chatting with Jeff Wagg about DragonCon.

If The Professor wants to start negotiating, he should start talking about his claim. As Jeff says (again),

We are making the claim as simple as possible. Rest assured that the word Entity was a "Target" and it has been removed, so no more time wasted on that. I appreciate the JREF Forum members for helping me with that part! We are moving right along.

Please remember that what I say has to be totally correct or the JREF will quickly throw it out and keep the million. That I don't want.
In a situation of confusion where people are "STILL" claiming I've never applied, I must preceed very carefully.

I feel that all the help from the predominantly neutral Paranormal Research Groups will be very helpful also.

I see nothing of the sort.

I see you dickering about what Randi knew and when he knew it.

I see that this is: 1) an irrelevant point; and 2) an inefficient use of your time.

I see that you are not clarifying what it is you can do. I see that you are not even saying whether the "voices" will be audible or will appear only on tape.

I see you grandstanding about commercials, your NBC connections, all of your volunteers and more without producing any proof at all that any of this is in any way true (not that it would matter to your claim).

I see an email from you to paranormal researchers but I see no evidence that even one group has acknowledged your request at all (not that it would matter to your claim).

And, last, I see you for what you are.

TP, you just rest assure that after time runs out and you accuse the JREF of being 'afraid' to test you or that they have put restrictive time limitations on your nagotiations (or any other excuse you can up with), many of us will be there on those forums to direct people here where your humiliation will remain in public's view.

1. In context, James Randi was talking in general terms about people claiming to be rejected for the MDC when they have never filed an application.

2. James Randi does not administer the MDC application process, nor the protocol negotiations.

Wake up yourself. I'm only speaking for myself when I say this, but I'm sure others would agree with me:

I don't care who you work for and who else is interested in this challenge. What I want to know is what exactly is your paranormal ability and how do you propose to test it?

Don't tell us how or why. Don't regale us with stories of famous writer/s helping you rewrite. Don't bore us with your odd notions of what "negotiations" are. Tell us what you are going to do.

However, based upon your posting history here, I can assume with a high level of confidence that you will avoid if not outright ignore these questions.

Again, you set the date. If you think that date is impossible, I've offered two solutions for you.

I thought that you may try to dodge me here so I did take some steps that will solve your problem of volunteers that require a month to get and allow more time for negotiations.

Over a month ago I contacted over a Dozen Paranormal Research groups
with this email.
We will have plenty of skeptical volunteers! So I ask again that you remove the time sipulation that you've imposed.

No, you don't get to choose the volunteers. We must choose at least some of the people, and that will take at least a month.

I'm David Koenig. I am a performing Mentalist, both live and frequently on radio shows. In the past few weeks, I have been featured as a guest, performing as Professor Slim King, on the following shows: The Ghostman and Demon Hunter show, Shadows in the Dark and Pangea's World of Weird. The listening audience as well as myself, had a great time!

Although Mentalism is widely considered an ancient performing art, I also involve myself in serious paranormal and supernatural events. I have always felt that I could duplicate something done in 1983 by a fellow Koenig on Europe's largest radio station Radio Luxembourg!
After moving to Florida I discovered the Devil's Chair to be a true portal to the spirit world as claimed by many others over the years. Therefore, I have applied to the The James Randi Educational Foundation in order to take their advertised "Million Dollar Challenge" with the goal of simply "making contact."
I would be more than happy to award each paranormal research group a $25,000 scholarship, or whatever the government leaves us and provided we win the challenge, for assisting in the planned demonstration. With everyone's help this has the potential for becoming the largest paranormal investigation in history and this is why I am extending an invitation to you to be a part of it.
The first investigation/demonstration will take place on October 31, 2008, Halloween. We should expect ample media exposure for all!The Ghostman and Demon Hunter Show, based in Indiana, are the first to commit their support. I hope you will join in on the fun!

With a $25,000 incentive we have plenty of volunteers!

The fact that you offered them financial incentive eliminates them as people we would trust. They can no longer be neutral.

Besides, you're getting ahead of yourself. We don't even have a working claim yet, nevermind a protocol. It's way too soon to be contacting volunteers.

Anyone here on the JREF can also participate if interested in helping and are already involved in a Paranormal Research Group.

I feel this time restriction is discriminatory.
