OK, now is my message diminished in any way??

Not convinced?

ok, off with my.....ooops hang on, someone at the door.....

I remember seeing all sorts of naked women on tv when tipper gore clinton was president

oh wait

I actually see a lot of naked Women in TV, especially in Commercials. So I have to blame Bush nevertheless ... for not invading us and replacing the free press with a patriotic, Bible Belt obeying one.
Don't you live in a country where you can go to jail for speech?

Yes, I do - The CIA will secretly kidnap- and fly me to Guantanamo whenever I would publicly announce that I'm about to do a terrorist attack against America in the name of the Quran. Oh wait, you meant something else, didn't you?

Anyway: I feel more free surrounded by naked women than by hatespeech... :D ;) :p

There's plenty of naked women on TV in the US.

Too bad you don't have free speech in Germany.

Rats, but can't HBO show it, or other pay channels, like

NFL Network?
Wait you get HBO and you want them to show a two second commercial where you barely see any breasts? Jeez....

Don't we?
Are you free to deny the Holocaust? Make speeches on radio and TV, write books, send letters to the editor of your newspaper, write columns for newspapers and magazines, all denying the Holocaust ever happened?

Does being free to deny an historocal fact that we are all sure that has (unfortunately) happened have anything to do with freedom of speech?
Why did not the US "free" TV and press kick Bush in the ass as he was clearly lying about Iraq and WMD before the start of the invasion?

First here is the youtube version of the ad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aXOPiqllxfA I cannot see what the fuss is about. You see two seconds worth of tits. Five seconds worth of breasts.

Certain nature programs have explicit sex scenes with no warnings attached.

WARNING - The clip is not safe for work.

YAWN... Booooriiiiinnngggg!

I can see one objection, it's just dumb. Dumb de dumb dumb DUMB!

But last I knew, dumb wasn't grounds for censorship.

It has everything to do with freedom of speech. Unpopular speech is the kind of speech most in need of protection.

Now, is Oliver free to deny the Holocaust? Make speeches on radio and TV, write books, send letters to the editor of his newspaper, write columns for newspapers and magazines, all denying the Holocaust ever happened?

Is Oliver free to claim that Naziism and the Holocaust were, on balance, a good thing? Make speeches on radio and TV, write books, send letters to the editor of his newspaper, write columns for newspapers and magazines, all claiming the world is a better place because of the Nazis and the Holocaust?

The important question really is whether or not Eva Mendes could deny the Holocaust while naked.

I, for one, say YES!

Is protecting minors from erotic phone lines also against freedom of speech?

Matteo, I've asked the above questions a couple of times now. They are not rhetorical questions. They are "yes-or-no" questions. The first time I asked them, you answered with a question, not an answer. The second time I asked them, you again answered with a question, even though I did you the courtesy of actually answering your question.

Now you do me the courtesy of answering my question.

Yes or no, Matteo?

Yes or no, Matteo?

I have no idea if you can be legally prosecuted for denying the existence of the Holocaust in Germany (I bet you will not for doing so in Italy or Japan).
But I guess this has little to do with the existence (or not) of freedom of speech in Germany

The answer is "yes".

It has everything to do with freedom of speech. Words and words alone got David Irving 3 years in an Austrian jail. While Irving is a despicable person jailing him for speech is a magnitude more despicable. From that article:
COUNTRIES WITH LAWS AGAINST HOLOCAUST DENIAL
Austria
Belgium
Czech Republic
France
Germany
Israel
Lithuania
Poland
Romania
Slovakia
Switzerland
And then there's the laws agains offending people Europeans are so fond of, Brigitte Bardot got fined for speaking her mind.

Canada seems determined to go the same route with the abuses by their ironically named Human Rights Commissions.

None of those things will get you in trouble in the US, where free speech is actually valued and enshrined in the Constitution.
