That Dr. Turi is preparing a vast e-mail spam to let the whole world know he and he alone predicted it in the “Dagon’s Tail” (or some crap) WOWOWOWOWO

I too can predict an event after it happens!
I predict Dr. Turi is an idiot!

Dr Turi is a Sedona Arizonian guru/ astrologer/psychic/ healer/ super stud (the slashes go on for ever until you want to slash your own throat) wana-be, who, whenever nearly any event (school shooting, earthquake, political event) happens that appears in the news he pimps (Freudian slip) pumps out spam e-mails. Claiming to have predicted it and that you can see his predictions by buying his inane books.

Dr Turi...now that's a name I haven't heard in ages. I see he's still up to his old kooky tricks.

Sadly, I think he's still up to his kooky tricks because he's been able to make a living doing so.

I have to wonder sometimes... I work my ass off, teaching actual science (specifically, physics and astronomy) in a difficult and rigorous manner to students. The preparation of lectures (and especially experiments) is long and tedious, the grading is even worse, and many times it is a thankless job. Because I demand that students "do it right" and that they think consistently and formulate logical arguments, I'm considered "too tough" by many. There have even been many occasions when a student or their parents challenge the grades I've assigned when I clearly show the student did the physics wrong, yet they challenge it anyway - sometimes continually, even going over my head to the principle or superintendent.

Yet here is some whackjob who makes up random crap, simply telling people what they want to hear... and he earns a nice, comfortable living at it with no one holding him accountable. Wow, he's such a nice guy

If I wanted to throw my ethics to the wind and make an assload of dough, maybe I should move to some scenic place and claim to be in touch with my chakras. Or I could start my own radio / TV show and tell people to send me money while I pray to Jebus for them. But I can't make myself do something like that, because

1) I'm too honest, and

2) I'm too connected to reality.

So I'm doomed to be a "mean teacher" who demands too much of his students. C'est la vie.

What a world, eh?

I had to find a place to write my ill feelings toward Dr. Turi. He is a freak. I do believe and study Astrology and some things he does are pretty good. BUT he is such a plastic surgery, bimbo humping, red corvette (midlife crises) driving bozo. It was so funny cause the other day he commented on this other Astrolger (female). He usually sautees and abuses any and everyone going on and on how stupid they are and how they don't use cosmic conciousness etc.. BUt then you see this chic. She has gy-normous breast implants and does her Astro readings on youtube. I never bothered to check them out cause it looked like a joke. But he went on and on about her and it was HILARIOUS. He has a world of people around him that worship him (a band if idiots) and when anyone asks a question that is perhaps questioning him - he insults them and posts it etc..

Also he has a "new love". She looks sort a Transexual Angelina Jolie. He is entrhalled with this chic and she looks exactly like the trannys I just saw in the Middle East. I think he is suffering a delusion that he is actually enlightened and maybe IS going out with Angelina Jolie etc... He is retarded. And I wanted to say so. Some of his writings are briliant though - they are.

THAT'S what makes it so freakin' confusing.

Never heard of him myself. What is brilliant about his writing? Its just that I'm curious yet unable to buy one of his books to see.

Funny thing is, by looking at a lull in tremors on the San Adreas, my friend actually sent an email to me on 7/22 predicting a quake within 3 weeks. Nothing paranormal about it.

We both joke about how vague he actually was. He said "I am predicting an earthquake in the next 3 weeks". Which tends to suggest that "we" would experience one here in Northern California. Predicting an earthquake for the entire state, over a three week period, after noticing a significant reduction in "normal" tremor activity, just isn't that impressive. And he admits it.

Sounds like he did way better than this guy though.

PS. He made a point after the quake that his three weeks have not expired yet either ;)

Well, I do study Astrology and this month (August) is a serious mofo. Lots of activity - Economy, Earth Changes, etc... LOTS going on. Feb and this Aug are the worst of the year for sure -

Dr. Turi is very good at predicting some stuff, I hate to say it because I am growing to despise this guy. He is such a tool! He came back from Thailand and posted these photos with some older folks (to pretend that he doesn't only pay attention to "certain types of people". He looked like he'd been nipped, tucked, squeezed, sunburned, stretched - it was like FREAKY. And I wonder how many of his other readers were like "wtf?". Then he posts some things about hwo everyone is jealous cause he has a red car and a bimbo and that he is so young looking. It's absurd. But he is more accurate than most about his predictions. Really. I will try to find some of his cool writings in which he is not being completely idiotic.

I totally feel you, I'm no teacher or anything like that, but stuff like this just hurts my brain. How can these people sleep at night? Ugh. Anyways, keep on keeping on Maximus... :thumbs up:

I just had a look at Turi's site......

And this guy makes a good living with all this?

:face + palm:

Dr. Turi the enlightened Narcissist

He is such a tool! Here are some photos. He's really into his corvette and Gary Busey. Here are some pix of his most recent plastic surgery in Thailand and then his new girlfriend (he describes ONLY super hot, 20's soemthing, surgically altered girls as hot and he's like 55 or something. It is so freakin' funny cause we are all a captive audience as his info can be quite good (and excrutiatingly entertaining at times) when he starts insulting readers who tell him "who he really is". He insults and chastises them using Astrology and goes on and on. I actually hardly read his stuff lately because for some odd reason he is manically sending newsletters every five minutes.

DAMN I could not add the photos - feckinshiznitfeckshiz. Maybe in a few more posts.

Its probably not so easy to make a living his way. There's only so many openings. I wonder how many new-age gurus the world supports at this time? There's probably more stand-up comedians.
