Maybe Obama owns a Macadamia tree and its the right time of year to harvest the nuts? Jesse was just trying to be helpful....
 
If anything, being attacked by Jackson will help improve Obama's image.
The fact is, I think a lot of people have caught on to the fact that Jackson is a demogogue and a shake down artist.

I think the issue about this is this: If this had been a white person who said what JJ said, JJ and Sharpton would be all over them till they walked off the face of the earth.

No doubt but isn't that true for most (all?) minority groups. A wetback can rag another wetback all day but let someone else say the same thing and it's a totally different matter. Hell, as an atheist, I ridicule some of our tribe's more silly stances but if an "outsider" made the same comment, my back would probably be up.

The book and that particular passage, in context, is Obama describing how he came to his world view.



I find it hard to believe that Jesse "Hymie town" Jackson could have forgotten that the mic is on. This man is a professional in that context.

This is an obvious ploy to make people on the margins think that if a known racist like Jesse "Hymie town" Jackson has problems with Obama, Obama must by default not be racist.

This is a brilliant political move.

That is not what I have stated.

I have stated that the Democrats are historically the party of the racist, and have shown no signs of changing their ways.


I am not sure that you understand what racism is. Could you define the word in your terms so that we may better understand your meaning?

The guy sitting next to him he whispered that to is a doctor. They were ona show together to discuss black medical issues. So the context is there was a break in the broadcast, and Jesse took the opportunity to talk privately to another black man about his thoughts on Obama, and the doctor's expression indicates he wants no part of that conversation

What exactly does Jackson think Obama has been talking down to black people on? "faith based" what?

He did spend 20 years raising his family in a church which extolled those ideals.

Glad someone else noted that - about the doctor. Clearly Jackson knows NOTHING about body language!!!

Agreed, but Sharpton has made a whole career out of it.
Not to mention that in the Tawana Brawley case Sharpton was proven to be a out and out liar.

A Ron Paul supporter should be very careful about accusing other parties of being racist,consdiering those newsletters.......
Jerome gets the "Sore Loser Of The Year" award for his endless and stupid attacks on Obama because Obama is the favorite to win the White House in November and Ron Paul has become a laughing stock.
