Warm Fuzzies About TAM6

Piggy, I don't think I met you. Unless it was Wed night, when I was really drunk.

Are you in any of the pictures? We'll have to visit at TAM VII.

No, I don't think I'm in any pictures. I avoid cameras. You certainly didn't meet me Wednesday night. I didn't even speak to anyone til Friday evening.

I didn't get the forum name of everyone I met, so I'm not sure if we met or not. If we did, I'm sure I didn't get your forum name b/c I would have remembered it.

If we did meet, my real name is Ernie.

I didn't get to meet him either... Dr. A said he looks like you but had a baseball cap on... I'm perusing the pix.

Unfortunately, we did not meet. I've seen some pix of you on the photo threads, and I know we didn't run into each other. :(

Damn you. Damn you and Delphi_ote. I had planned to meet both.

Ah well... I heard nice things about you behind your back.

Aw, Piggy. Your post perpetuated my warm fuzzies.

And I know exactly what you mean about that post-TAM glow...it almost physically hurts once it wears off, but for those few hours after you've arrived home, the world seems so much more welcoming and...well...filled with people like YOU.

Indeed. Sigh.

Top two warm fuzzies for me from TAM 6:

- Meeting Teller and chatting him up. (I've LOVED him since I was 7!) And when I say, "chatting him up," I really mean "blubbering like an idiot while trying to form coherent sentences."

- Phil Plait gave me a free copy of his book and signed it for me!

I definitely miss listening to all the intelligent conversations that went on around me at TAM. I can feel my neurons dissolving slowly while I try to carry on intelligent conversations at work....

For some reason this made me laugh out loud. "Perpetuate" and "warm fuzzies" I have never seen in a sentence together. :D

Just wait until I find an excuse to bust out "peripatetic." I've never had the opportunity to use it in a sentence, but it's just a matter of time.

The layout of the conference rooms at the Flamingo require one to have quite a peripatetic spirit just to go from the main conference room to lunch.

Whoa, Pham. Beating me to the punch? NOT COOL.

Sorry. Didn't mean to word block you. I'm usually a better wingman.

If it helps patch things up between us, I know a lot of other good words you can try to sneak into conversation. In fact, to make amends, all of my talents are at your disposal.

Sorry. I didn't wake up this morning with a plan to help this thread devolve into sleazy come ons and sophomoric sexual innuendo. It just seems to be working out that way.
