TAM6 Arrival Times

I arrived at the Flamingo last night from New York. Got up early this AM and discovered the wildlife habitat here at the hotel (or whatever the F they call it). Beautiful water birds (including a flock of real flamingos!), fish and turtles. The poor birdies had their wings disabled at birth, so none of them can fly. I guess that's how they get them to stick around. Rode the monorail back and forth to get the lay of the land.

A friend who lives in town is taking me to the Liberace Museum soon, and is getting me a free ticket to see the late show of "Mystere" by Cirque du Soleil (she performs in it).
Yey! Of course, I'll be checking in here--I hope to meet some fellow TAM-sters before tomorrow.

Arrival From Reno

Thursday 3:15 Southwest.

I do not have a TAM shirt but I am sure I can get myself noticed.....

Strictly speaking, there is nothing keeping me from packing, getting in my car, and leaving right now.

However, as a practical matter, I really can't/shouldn't. So reading about people already there or about to be there is very difficult on my self-control....
Strictly speaking, simply breathing is very difficult on your self control. :p

Leaving in about 9 hours!!! ETA: Leaving in about 7 hours and 54 min.

OH MAN!!! OH MAN!!!

I'll be at the Banachek workshop this afternoon, after I get there and check in with the family.

The Liberace museum is wonderful. I wonder how it's perceived among the younger generation, who didn't grow up watching him on TV.

The Liberace Museum was a blast--I was especially impressed by the antique and unusual pianos, some of which look like they could be in the Metropolitan Museum in New York City. The ladies who work there were extremely friendly and enthusiastic as they talked about various pieces on exhibit--they clearly loved their jobs.
