New book about Pentagon on 9/11 "FIREFIGHT"

Sound interesting. That book, and the excerpt from your pasted link, are something the CIT are going to ignore completely.

For a moment there, I thought it was another DRG book.

I'm sure they have a very interesting story to tell - should be worth a read.

I was very depressed to be in Brighton the other day and see many of Griffin's books in the political science section of Borders bookshop.

That said, it was Brighton. I've never come across any in London.

At the adjacent fire station, Mark Skipper was standing in front of Foam 161, the helipad's firetruck, smoking a cigarette and talking with Alan Wallace about the news from New York. Wallace noticed some movement out of the corner of his eye. Both men jerked their heads around in sudden disbelief. The plane was flying straight at them from the west, rapidly filling the sky like some kind of surreal 3-D video game. They couldn't hear it, but by the time they saw the plane it was only 150 yards away, a few feet off the ground—and about to fly right through them.

"Run!" Wallace screamed. He bolted to the right, sure that the plane was about to take his head off. Skipper took off in another direction.

I'd say it's fair to conclude that they were deluded.

Listen to the interview. It is very informative about what was going on that day. They talk a lot about the jet fuel that was everywhere in the building. They talk about a huge problem they had to put out a fire on the roof that threatened the entire building. They talk about the cross-purposes of the firefighters and the FBI as one group's sole purpose was to fight the fires regardless of what got disturbed or messed up--more than it already was-- and the other tried to maintain it as a crime scene and protect all the elements that were evidence. How anyone could listen to this and still maintain there was no plane would have to just be an addiction to stubborn implacable delusion.

Why do you think we call it Wooo, anyway? Hence their title of Twoofer!

I'm now halfway through this book, I highly recommend it.

I'm curious as to why there has been no comments by the Truthers on it, either here, on LCF, SLC or anywhere else on the Internet (or real life).

I actually got a response from a truther on SLC on this book. He said the book was irrelevent to whether 9/11 was an inside job or not. :jaw-dropp

There was a post on 911 blogger regarding the book a week ago, it has yet to receive a single comment.

BUT OF COURSE!!!!
They are shills and PAID by the NWO to write and book full of lies to throw off suspicion .

"Truther mode" other good explanations are
Oh please they weren't deluded they were plants (Euonymus alatus ) any one can tell it was too convenient that they just happened to be there to witness it. After all the perpetrators knew they were going to confiscate all the video so they had to have a couple of good witnesses.

Or maybe were they sure it was the commercial plane instead whatever Terral says it was.

"Reasonable human being mode"
How could any one deny the plane hit the pentagon.

You (or Pat?) made an excellent point on SLC that bears repeating here. These authors spent five years researching what happened at the Pentagon and interviewed 150 persons directly involved with the event. The "no planers" have demanded a new, independent, non-governmental investigation and now that there is one they reject it for the same old reason - it didn't come to their pre-conceived conclusion that AA77 hit the Pentagon.

Alt+F4,
I think you meant to say "The "no planers" have demanded a new, independent, non-governmental investigation and now that there is one they reject it for the same old reason - it didn't come to their pre-conceived conclusion that AA77 did not hit the Pentagon."

My bad. Thanks Old Tiger Cub!

Having seen nothing posted about FIREFIGHT on any truther sites - decided to stir things
up. Went to ABOVE TOP SECRET and posted thread concerning FIREFIGHT

Wonder how Craig Ranke and his cotrie of losers can explain this....

I'm almost halfway through it myself (chapter 20 - Making the Team) and I have to second your recommendation. Absolutely fascinating and detailed accounts of what was transpiring at the Pentagon in the first few hours. There are a couple of pauses in which the efforts of FBI agents and military personnel are highlighted, but for the most part it really details the actions of the fire departments, the confusion encountered, the difficulty in coordinating efforts and especially the frustration of the various firefighters who were trying to save the building from a blaze that was threatening to get completely out of control. I thought that it was interesting to note that while the far side of the Pentagon was not damaged, the command staff working there was also facing having to evacuate because the smoke from the fire was being sucked in through the ventilation system.

Of course it's irrelevent! The book contains facts and accounts that can be verified!:p

Firefight: Inside the Battle to Save the Pentagon on 9/11

Not a conspiracy theory, but it's related to 9/11, so I figured here would be a good place to put this thread.

Has anyone read the book Firefight: Inside The Battle to Save the Pentagon on 9/11 by Patrick Creed and Rick Newman? It's a great read so far, telling the harrowing and powerful tale of the emergency response to the Pentagon on 9/11. I got close to tears when I read about an Army officer who tried in vain to get his coworkers to evacuate after news of the attacks on the WTC had reached the Pentagon. Many people, gathered in large groups around TV sets and watching CNN in shock and horror, became victims themselves to the death and destruction they were watching unfold on TV-before they, too, had their lives snuffed out by the next stage of the attack.

Overall, a great, fascinating, and moving piece of work about an aspect of 9/11 that has been overlooked (understandably, given the sheer scale of what was happening in New York and the incredible bravery witnessed on Flight 93).

Oh, and to the 9/11 Pentagon conspiracy theorists: I dare you to contact the Arlington County Fire Department, the Fort Myers Fire Department, the Ronald Reagan National Airport Fire Department, and all the others involved in the Pentagon rescue effort (many of whom lost friends and coworkers in the attack) that what they saw and witnessed was a lie. Because nothing they say indicates that an American Airlines 757 traveling at over 500 miles per hour did not slam into the Pentagon that morning and kill 184 people who did not wish or deserve to die.

Hi, Allen773. Welcome to the board.

I volunteer in Montgomery County (MD) and ride with FFs who were there that day, pulling pieces of airliner (and passengers) out of the building. Once I mentioned the "no-plane" claim to one of them. He just rolled his eyes.

I just got my copy yesterday. I am only 4 chapters in, but anyone who could read this book and still insist no plane hit the Pentagon should have their head examined.
