He'd have a lot more credibility with me though if he'd come out and tell his CT followers that he is not a CT believer. What's wrong with being a CT believer? Is it any more looney than believing that noah was able to get 2 of every animal onto an ark? or that if you touch yourself there will be a hot fiery place with ugly horned people? Or people lived to be 200 years old?

If you believe in the bible or the quoran or any religious ********, then you are the biggest set of loons on this planet!

Calling yourself a christian, to me is like calling yourself a schizophrenic.

The majority of the discussions I've heard about Paul, both on the Internet and off, have been about his viability as a candidate, not his odious ideology. He should be attacked based on his views, not on whether or not he can win.

The question voters should ask of any candidate is not "Can they win?", but "Should they win?" I think in Paul's case the answer is a resounding NO.

Hey Axiom, again, to clarify, I'm not saying "he can't win" so much as I'm saying "he isn't going to win". Further, it's not an argument just a statement of fact. I'm not attacking him just pointing out reality. Also, I don't have a problem with people talking about RP I just don't get all of the threads given that he isn't going to win and his candidacy isn't going to have any impact on the election or the issues of the election.

Not that you don't have a point. You do.

Er, you do realise that Ron Paul is a christian right? In fact he's a creationist.

In short, Ron Paul is anti-choice, racist, anti-immigration, opposes gay rights, against church-state separation, etc. etc. Also, his ideas about the Gold Standard and eliminating the IRS are ludicrous.
That's why he hasn't "reached me", and likely never will.

Have you ever heard Ron Paul make a racist statement? Don't worry I'll wait.

Are you gay blade? Besides Ron Paul is NOT anti-choice. He feels it should be handled at the state level. He takes that approach on a lot of the issues.

Also blade, He will legalize drugs and pardon all nonviolent drug offenders!

He is also for legalizing prostitution, leaving that option up to the states.

Besides, when you think about it, abortion is pretty primitive, I mean there are so many contraceptives out there to prevent pregnancy that abortion should be a last resort, I mean there are IUD'S, morning after pills, condoms, diaphragms, birth control, vasectomies and getting your tubes tied. Abortion is almost obsolete. It doesn't need to be done. It is a last resort.

I know that but I like what maher said about legislating taste. Ron Paul won't legislate taste.

I don't like these people who are motivated by religion to change things in politics. Ron Paul may be a Christian but he wants to legalize marijuana, therefore he is not letting his religion affect his political judgments.

Then why is he anti abortion? Do you really think it's a good idea to elect someone so divorced from reality?

Who cares if he is personally anti abortion? He will not make it law. He is anti drugs but he knows the war on drugs is a scam, so he will legalize drugs.

He finds prostitution vile but he will have the states decide on whether to legalize it or not.

Do you care that obama won't wear his flag lapel?

I don't see anything funny about having a humble foreign policy. I don't know if you realize this TCS but we have american men and women DYING IN IRAQ FOR CORPORATE INTERESTS! And YOU'RE laughing about it! We got dead kids in iraq and TCS is ****ing laughing. The only candidate that will truly bring all the troops home and thusly making ourselves safer from a potential threat by using that money on intelligence and a strong national defense.

What's funny about having sound money? What's funny about ending the "war on drugs" scam? What's funny about having a balanced budget?
