Overlap between TWA 800 & 9/11 theorists

After TWA Flight 800 crashed back in 1996 there was a 'bloom' of internet based conspiracy theories, most of which to my memory centered around the claim that the US Navy accidentally shot the plane down and then covered it up.

It would be interesting to see just what 'overlap' there is between the people peddling conspiracy theories back then and those who started peddling 9/11 conspiracy theories.

Also it might be interesting to look at the 'dynamics' of the two events and what similarities/differences there are between them.

I saw a National Geographic episode of "Final Report" on TWA 800 a few days ago. While the FAA thinks they have a good idea what happened (frayed wires in a nearly empty center fuel tank ignited fumes) they were never able to issue a definitive report. So this crash is ripe for CT scenarios.

eta: according to the web site it's on again Saturday at 1pm Eastern.

In both cases, the US government fabricated a physical scenario to cover-up the truth. In 9/11, the fabrication is of course the NIST report and related mainstream explanations for the collapse of the WTC buildings, while in TWA 800 it was the exploding fuel tank story. Also, in both cases computer graphics were created to sell the public the lie.

However, the situation of the eyewitnesses is reversed. In the TWA 800 case, the government had to discredit eyewitnesses. This is oppposed to the case for a 757 hitting the pentagon is supported by eyewitnesses.

Actually we have a 9/11 tie-in to the TWA 800 story. Peter Lance goes into it in his books. He believes that TWA 800 was brought down by a Boijinko-type bomb in an attempt to interfere with Ramzi Yousef's ongoing trial.

You see, reality sets in and you find no missile in the debris. Darn. The NTSB has experts from all areas; no missile. But they did find a design deficiency and operating practice that possibly caused the failure! Boeing found a possible problem, and the operating procedure error. I mean the Air packs are right next to the Center Wing tank. When the tank is low or empty the heat from the air packs can heat the area up and the wires inside could interact with the fuel vapors if something went wrong. I would have to go back and read this again, but that was my take.

Only expert shallow researchers would fall for the missile lies/line. Since there is zero evidence to support a missile. If you have flown for years like I have you know what the witnesses saw that night. But unless you have seen things in the air, you may not understand how a plane falling apart in the air could look as if something was rising up to meet the aircraft; but they really see the plane falling and the reflection rising in the water! Sorry, the investigators listened to all, and they would track down every lead. If you don't believe me fine. Who cares about people who can't think their way out of the box when they think they are thinking out of the box.

Missiles leave stuff; I have been where missiles have been used and they leave parts when they destroy other objects! It is a signature that would be found. Since they found a lot of stuff, why was the missile stuff missing? On only fools believe in things absent of evidence when we are talking about real objects.

Real dumb ideas love company. Seems true for you.

Just like they did back in 1982 when they claimed that the pilot of KAL 007 messed up his autopilot settings...

Even after the Russians released the CVRs people still continue to push the 'American Spyplane' line that the Soviets put out to cover up their screw-up.

And to get this somewhat back on track, I'm more interested in pursuing the possibility that there is a continuity between the CT peddlers swarming around TWA 800 and the ones that sprang up in the light of 9/11. Unlike the KAL 007 CTs which could plausibly be tied to instructions from a single source, these ones seem to have originated 'spontaneously'.

I think if you look into it, you will find an active TWA 800 research group that is independent of the 9/11 Truth movement. Personally, I have not heard 9/11 Truthers even mention TWA 800.

Facts of the case; They looked for BOMBS, no bombs! They looked for missiles, no missiles! Darn, no evidence found to support the ideas. They look at bombs and missiles for possibilities, I repeat this was the standard! They looked for these things, they tried to find a bomb or missile! They could not find evidence to support bombs or missiles! ZIP; if you believe a missile took down 800, you are wrong.

No evidence means you are a just another CTer on 800, no evidence, just talk! Just pure BS talk. Do you understand what evidence is?

If you fail to have physical evidence of a missile, then please do not go backwards, it will make you look stupid to match witnesses to evidence that does not show the missile they say rose to meet the wreckage of 800 already falling. What they saw was fire reflection rising on the ocean. Sorry, they listened to the witnesses and tried to match the stories to the missile they can't find. If you do not understand even on 9/11 you have to have evidence to back up witnesses. So for 9/11 you selectively ignore witnesses who do not support your false ideas, and on 800 you pick witnesses who support you idea and ignore others. Sorry, you must use a rational mind, not a mind which keeps presenting failed ideas until you claim victory and leave as a failed truther on 9/11 and now failed ideas on 800.

If you only had some evidence. Sorry. No missile parts. I mean it is so easy to find a missile part if a missile took out 800. I have seen a SCUD blown up by a Patriot. We found parts of the SCUD and parts of the Patriot. This is so easy, the missile would leave parts and have specific damage patterns on 800. Could not find it. Boeing had experts there, they were looking for missile parts overtime, and bombs! This is the DUMBEST CT, tied for first place like 9/11! Tied for stupid. The truth is they tried to find evidence of missiles and bombs!

Final answer, 800 CTers are research challenged; Clinton and many rational people would call the CT on 800 idiotic.
