what if the events listed in northwoods happened, but actualy HAD been carried out by cuba or another foreign country, would CTers still claim a government conspiracy?

Absolutely. If it were a crime perpetrated by a government it would be a government conspiracy.

Would you be able to recognize if the government committed a conspiracy? If Operation Northwoods had been implemented would you have been able to recognize that it was a conspiracy?
 
I think one of the hundreds of people involved in its implementation would have preserved concrete evidence and/or talked. Actually I think several of them would have. Six months, tops.

Do YOU think everyone involved could keep a secret this big forever?
 
someone would have spilled the beans, just like every single other time people in the government have tried abusing their position, Watergate, Iran/Contra,Clinton's BJ/Bush Phone Taps, etc
 
It wasn't implemented. It was shot down (the plan I mean) for good reason. The whole scenario you're talking about is a hypothetical. But, I'll play along. If it had been, do you not think that it would have been exposed by now?

We can't get a hummer in the oval office these days without making months worth of national news.

i meant a United States government conspiracy, it would seem many in the truth movement would call is a US conspiracy whether it was or not, take alex jones for example, he claimed in july of 2001 that the next attack on the US would be self inflicted, no matter what the next attack would have been he woudl have claimed it as fulfillment of his prediction

Then Alex Jones would still use an operation from 45 years ago to prove that the Bush administration committed the 9/11 attacks...and truthers would still consider that logical.

Not all of us worship Alex Jones... In fact some of us can and do think for ourselves.

Is it possible that a government conspiracy could be carried off under your watch? Would you recognize it, or would you sit here and continue to belittle every conspiracy theorist for exposing a crime?

Do you think the government would have released the proposal less than 4 years before trying something similar (but actually much worse because actual lives were lost on Sept. 11th)?

Don't you think if it were sooper sekrit evidence that implicated them in "false flag terror" they would have, you know, tossed it on the barbie?

We belittle them for lying (actually most of us don't even do that.) What evidence do you have that anyone has exposed a heretofore unknown crime committed by the US government on 9/11/2001? Because I've never seen any. The book deal alone should be worth a few million.
