The case against Dr. Paul

Again - you're pointing to a news-letter which is once again against
every libertarian stance. So who is lying - the News-letter or Paul's
stance about freedom and liberty.

You can't have it both ways - unless you're actually able to point
out Paul's own stance about that contradicting his stance on Liberty,
equality and freedom.
Oliver, Ron Paul wrote that letter.

Point to where I said any candidate is trustworthy?

I just think Paul is a worse choice than almost any of them.

We'll see if Obama's or Hillary's presidency will improve the economy
rather than damaging it thanks to the downplayed costs of those
plans. From the German experience, I will love to see how to balance
those facts we're currently struggling with.

But hey, at least Universal Health-Care sounds cool - so I'm eager
to find out what the American solution is, especially in the current
economic circumstances in which it isn't even clear if America is in
a Recession or not.

Experts say: "Recession". Politicians say: "Meh, everything is fine".

But what do Experts mean anyway as long you can point out that
someone else wrote a newsletter in their name about an issue that
is not related to their expertise? :D

I love America - it's fun to watch, no kidding. So I really don't care
who wins as long the Candidate will keep us laughing. :p

Source? :)

You linked to a PDF that includes scans of a News-letter. Are
you telling me that proves anything besides the fact that there
is a PDF with scans on the "Internets". I could fake such evidence
with your name on it in 15 minutes.

You're a Skeptic, eh? :)

You're hopeless Oliver.

So you're going to link us to the quote where Paul claims those are fake newsletters then?

FINALLY you give a legitimate reason for supporting that douchebag.

Nope. As I said - it doesn't matter if he wins or not,
the whole American system and elections are screwed
anyway. So since this will not change in the next
decades, there will be a lot of laughs on the rest
of the worlds behalf ... well, not from the peoples
point of view that are actually bullied by the US. So
Terrorism won't go away - but why should I care
about stupidity?

Anyway: Paul's straight words would deserve
a honest presidency - but I'm realistic and I
know that Americans will go with the most
blabbering Candidate who also looks like a
president, not one who has good policies.

But that's exactly what's so exiting about the
US. No Idea what democracy is, but acting
completely opposed to it all the time ... in
the name of democracy.

That's bat-**** funny to watch, I apologize
for my Schadenfreude. :">

You're hopeless Oliver.

Why? Did you ever listen to a conspiracy nut citing
the PNAC as the ultimate Neo-Con conspiracy? You
act and sound the same way without further evidence.

But being a Skeptic, you surely know this as well,
don't you?

I'd post more laughing dogs at this quote, but I'm not sure whether they should be directed towards the part before the dash or after it.

:dl:

Now I know why you are all so cynical about Ron Paul. Oliver keeps owning you and you can't raise any significant arguments. You have formed a little anti-Oliver cult.

Excuse me? Ron Paul doesn't dispute that those newsletters went out under his name, but you're claiming they're fake?

You sound like the 9/11 troofers claiming the OBL videos are fake.

I never heard him saying anything racial. Plus it
wouldn't make sense from a Libertarian point of
view.

So I'm skeptic until the facts prove me wrong.
So far I see no threat coming from him other than
actually cut spending - which should be in the
interest of everyone who cares about his tax-dollars.

But since it's not my tax-money, it doesn't bother
me that much since the economies facts already
show the trend of those policies.

Do whatever you please - it's interesting to see
what the end of the story is. And yes, UHC would
be a nice thing to see in the richest and at the
same time poorest western country in the world.

The interesting part is: How to pay for it.

Yes, the 94% of those just voting on his side of the fence is little. :D

In other words, "Ron Paul has never claimed those newsletters were faked." Gotcha.

Well - they think I'm an America Hater because
I don't support Civilian-Children-Killing, American
"Heroes" in the Name of the patriotic Idiot in the
White House.

Fact is that some people are wiser than that and
actually able to see the world from a more neutral
point of view.

So I'm able to differ between Americans and
patriotic dumbnuts, but those people are rare
in here - for some non-"critical thinking"-reasons...

Paul doesn't have good policies. In fact, he has terrible policies. Could this be the reason that he is unpopular with voters?

Nah, that would be giving too much credit to Americans, right Oliver? You must be correct - he isn't "presidential" enough.

America: 303,229,000

You have no point. And the funny thing is - you
don't even realize it.

I know, the Constitution is out-dated - that's my
stance as well. But at least I thought that Constitution
and declaration of independence were pretty American
Values.

Turns out that this isn't the case - despite all the
Patriotic BS-talking all the time.

Doesn't matter to me - my stance is: :popcorn2

This is a common theme in the politics section.

Naturally.

Counter-intuitively so. I have come to the conclusion that calling oneself a skeptic isn't enough to avoid bias and self-deception.

I certainly don't see yours. If you plug the number of Ron Paul supporters into the GLOBAL number rather than just people who voted in American primaries his percentage of supporters dips way below 1%.

But hey, if it makes sense to you... well, at least you're in good company with the rest of insane people who gravitate to RP like flies to... ummm... garbage.
