The Incredible odds of fulfilled bible prophecy

Okay-- let me try a different question just to see if I can evoke an intelligent response prod the monkey some more.

Show me one piece of forensic or archaeological evidence, or any contemporaneous historical account of Jesus, that proves he was born of a virgin, jogged on water, cured blindness with spittle, turned water to wine, multiplied loaves and fishes, raised the dead, killed a fig tree, died for our sins, rose from the dead like a zombie, or flew away to heaven. In fact, show me any such evidence that Jesus was anything more than some poor generic cult leader who got himself executed by Roman authorities. Show me anything that backs up the extraordinary claims in the bible that he was somehow superhuman or supernatural.

I don't want a list of people who talk about the existence of Christians or what they believed. No one is denying those. I want to see evidence of the extraordinary miraculous life of Jesus. Surely if this were true then people would have been writing about it in droves.

I think this is a rather reasonable request. Especially for something that DOC's sources claim is the most proven fact in history. I mean, wouldn't the most proven fact in history have a surplus of non-hearsay data?

Self contradiction in three sentences. So which is it?
You never used the quote or you have the right to put any quotes up you want?

I noticed in none of those points, did you ever counter my argument, that your quote is the ultimate act of dishonesty.

Your above statements makes no sense to me. The word "source" and the word "post" are not the same for your information.

Really all of this is just another attack the messenger in anyway possible (and in the above case even if it doesn't make sense). Your statements add no new information to the thread. Its just a lot of mumbo jumbo, throw in a derogatory attack word every now and then, and hope you can derail the thread in anyway possible.

In a way though I glad your doing it, because it is slowly but surely eroding any credibility you have.

I know it will not stop, and you will continue to post "long" non-informative mumbo jumbo attack posts that make little sense. I guess I'll have to just ignore them and only respond to the few that make sense.

Sorry I wasn't explicit.
You posted the quote.
You used Thomas arnold's statement as an implied bit of supporting evidence to your point.

I should not need to be this explicit, considering the majority of your posts aren't.

Revise your statement under the new information.

I have no wish to derail anything. I'm simply highlighting your logicial inconsistencies. The fact that they exist isn't my fault.

Are you truly willing to test this claim?
If my credibility is in such question as you claim it is, you should be able to find other forum members who would agree with you. Indeed, the majority of individuals here would be more than happy to honestly critique my level of credibility.

If more people say I lack credibility than say I am credible, than I will admit you are right and apologize for any challenges I've made against you.

If more people say I am credible, than you must admit that your attack on my character was wrong and apologize accordingly.

I'm guessing he means that some of the places mentioned in the Bible actually exist.

This just off the presses! Tornados have been found to exist in Kansas. This supports "The Wizard of Oz".

And there is a Kansas! wow, it seems the evidence is mounting up.

And there are people named Dorothy, and there are aunts and uncles. Some of them probably live in Kansas.

Guys, I've done some work as a metallurgist... and I can absolutely confirm the existence of tin. That's all the proof you need, isn't it?

Also if someone is dishonest enough to make stuff up could they really come up with the incredible wisdom and ethics of Christ that even Thomas Jefferson and Ben Franklin basically said was the finest that ever existed and as Franklin said will probably ever exist.

Jesus could have been the best ethical teach of all time. (I don't think so, but let's assume so for arguments sake) That has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on his supposed miracles and god status.

Absolutely no bearing whatsoever on his supposed miracles and god status??

For argument sake, if there was a Son of God who performed miracles and was raised from the dead, would he more likely to be the best ethical teacher of all time or just a good Jew who followed the accepted Jewish laws of the Day.

I am completely fascinated by this post. You believe that a slave-owner and a rapist is well-qualified to judge which system of ethics is the most beautiful. How utterly bizarre.

Saying the ethics are beatiful and following them are two different things. Even Christ said not everyone who has my name on their lips has me in their heart.

And to Jefferson's and Washington's defense, if you inherited many slaves at age 14 like Jefferson and at age 10 like Washington you'd probably be a slave owner too. Washington did eventually will his slaves to be released.
