Have you any
evidence of shrieking? On Par's part or anybody else's? Your posts are definitely
shrill.
...that the hurricane season of that year, spitting out a never-before witnessed number of cat-612 'canes, was proof--PROOOOOFFFFF!!!--of GW, and more, that it was simply a taste of what lie in store for us in the future, that was not conflating weather and climate and was not making a hysterical, fearmongering prediction?
Such shrieking is the product of a communal imagination (of which you're part). Those of us who understand climate change don't make any such claims, and of course we're comfortable enough with reality not to be shrill. I don't give a toss about hurricanes. Very much a side issue, and unpredictable. If they were
predictable something would have been done to protect New Orleans, after all.
I'm not even sure how many Cat 5 hurricanes hit the Gulf of Mexico last year, or how unusual the hurricane season was.
