Bill O'Reilly

I see. You have castigated those who listen to O'REilly, who doesn't endorse any candidate, but you would still vote for Obama, even though he is endorsed by the TV queen Oprah, who is considered moronic by yourself? I bet you you were a devote of James Frey’s "A Million Little Pieces" until Oprah countermanded her order to read his book.

I doubt any Republican candidate is campaigning for your liberal vote and considering your penchant for fractured and feckless acronyms, I wonder if any of the Dems would claim you either.
.
See what I mean? You just validated my contentions. You've been stuck like a remora to shark O'Reilly's mouth for so long that your reading comprehension skills have atrophied.

Nobody claims me. If a group fits a reasonable percentage of my expectations and principles and beliefs? Well then I might claim a hunk of them. But I'd keep 'em under scrutiny and constant vigilance.

By the way: Which of the stupid, ridiculous, bible-thumping, vacuous, pathetic, uncaring, unfeeling, war-loving, money-worshipping comical excuses for a Republican presidential candidate will you vote for?

No wonder you are left abandoned in lost and found, with your disposition, who would want to claim you?

Would that be the same "war-loving" Hillary Clinton, who voted for the Iraq War, that is your favorite candidate? Is Hillary an atheist? Neither Hillary or Bill worship money? Hillary's feelings are a mile wide and an inch deep. But she does take the prize for most ridiculous statement, "And what, in my background, equips me to deal with evil and bad men?" and then denied she was referring to her husband.

Took you almost 2 hours to come up with this? Didn't have O'Reilly on the TeeVee to tell you how to think? Okay, that's understandable.

Is this the ONLY game you fanatical right wingers know? Blame it on Clinton?

I notice that you did NOT step right out there like a brave man and declare for whom you would vote. Notice I DID do that, however. You can criticize it, you can say anything you want, as can anyone else - I'm fine with it. Yet when the vote question is put to you - Duck City. Why? Are you that embarrassed by the Mental Defective League that claims exclusive membership by all 2008 Republican Presidential candidates?

Your question about the Media Research Center wasn't a real question.
It was indeed a real question as it gets to the very heart of your double standard. As you are not interested in honest debate, I'm not going to try to challenge your faith with rational discussion.

Hope the eyes get better.

Pretty much... usually "supported" by a stupid lie, as you can see from the post you quoted. I guess right-wingers assume that we are as gullible as they are? Or that we hate women as much as they do? Or that we are as interested and obsessed with Bill Clinton as they are?

Are there any really bonifide smart people or actual funny people or even any really likable or charitable people that spout the "bush neocon" nuttery exhibited by O'Reilly? Tokenconservative pomeroo et. al. --Do you guys see each other as being like you and "smart and likable" like you. Pomeroo, how do you feel knowing that you sound like token conservative or Cicero or Rodney to the more likable members of this forum...er, I mean the smarter...I mean the funnier... er... the "liberal" members of this forum (all those who don't jump on the far right fascist religious propaganda train.) Yes, I know there are a lot of evil terrible and stupid people who don't support your political extremism... but are there any smart people? funny people? widely respected people? widely liked people? Or are they all like you guys?

I can think of plenty of funny, smart and cool people who support right-wing views.

Almost all of Bill Maher's conservative guests from Andrew Sullivan to Christopher Hitchens to Tucker Carlson to Larry Miller are all very intelligent and likable. Funny, too.

Yes... but I'm talking far right... tokenconservative views-- the religious right "war on christmas" folks. I agree that both Hitchens and Miller can be very funny and brilliant (though Miller much less so as his politics moves right)... I cannot stand Tucker Carlson and cannot imagine the appeal... I think he's a very stupid man... and I'm unfamiliar with Andrew Sullivan. Is there someone who supports O'Reilly or who thinks Bush is a great president who is really smart or likeable or funny? Most people have mixed political views depending on the topic... but pomeroo considers everyone who isn't his degree of fascist right a liberal. I just wonder if there's anyone of that ilk in that category... Is there anyone who thinks the pope is a fabulous moral example and worthy of praise who is also funny and smart? Are there any great scientists or supporters of evolution on the far right? Any excellent comedians or geniuses... or noted skeptics or great philanthropists? Or is the hubris and moral certitude and righteousness all part of the delusion they spin for themselves?

Hey look-- more stuff happening or the Bill O'Reilly supporters to explain away... ignore ...or bring up all the more evil "liberals" as a derail... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/01/05/secret-service-restrains-_n_79954.html

The simple answer is "no"...

... there are funny, likable conservatives. On the other hand, people who spew the "liberals love terrorists and hate America, homosexuals are corrupting America, teachers are evil, minorities need to shut up, "white people" need to have more children, the whole media is a left-wing conspiracy" stuff are almost by definition "not likable, smart, or funny". They are, in fact, humorless and rather disturbed people.

Your posts are self-derailing. Now you have modified your prosaic prattle about there being no witty, acerbic and intelligent conservatives to no "far right wing" conservatives who possess these attributes. There is a point when the far right and the far left meet. Stuart Smalley went far left and lost his humor and his audience. Sean Penn, Rosie O, Susan Sarandon, Jane Fonda (also a born again Christian), Streisand, Robbins, garofalo, Katzenberg, etc have gone round the bend in their choleric callow cacophonous caterwauling.

You are the one who itemized what you beleive to be evil motives of conservatives. So why is it my fault that Hillary meets, and exceeds, all these requirements?

Of the viable GOP candidates, I'll take either Thompson, Romney
or McCain. But if there has to be a Democrat winner, Obama is by far less offensive than Clinton or Edwards.

Oh no... right from the beginning I was clear about which conservatives I meant (see post 428)... those ones who think Bush is a great president or doing a good job... those that are creationists and the ones that you guys would consider left of you.... the people who don't like O'reilly and such. The ones Bill Maher mentions here:

-- the roughly 1/4 of people who give the majority of Americans a bad image.

You seem like a good guy. I fight all time with one of my best friends about politics, so don't take this stuff too seriously. Maybe I simply can't follow your argument. What exactly are you alleging about Notable Quotables?

Okay then! Appreciate your posting of GOP choices.

Although Thompson? Somebody needs to shake him awake to let him know that he's never going to get this Role. His audition does not impress. He's reading from the wrong script. He needs to stay in the green room because he'll never occupy the Blue Room.

Romney will probably win the GOP nomination, that's who I'd bet on at this point in time.

Thanks for the link, articulett.

Maher is apparently back on next week. Don't know how the WGA strike against AMPTP will affect that...

Let's examine the intelligence quota of your favorite liberals:

Rosie O'Donnelll, Sean Penn, Jeneane Garofalo, Danny Devito, Barbara Streisand, are all summa cum laude graduates and have advanced degrees.....oops! I guess high school, for those who did not drop out, will have to suffice.

But you are correct in one thing, they sure are "funnier" in that people are laughing at them, not with them.

What education do Arnold Schwartzeneggar and Bruce Willis have? Oops! Howsabout Ted Nugent ? No? Wow! What about Rush Limbaugh? Dropped out of college after flunking out of everything? Shocking! But surely Sean Hannity... He dropped out of college too? No way!

In other words, watch where you're pointing that thing, son. You just might shoot yourself in the foot.

Yeah, I think so. I'm sure I could think of more examples but just today I was reading Jackie Mason's book (http://www.amazon.com/Schmucks-Favorite-Frauds-Lowlifes-Dangerous/dp/0061126128) and while he's unapologetic about supporting Bush among other pretty far right views, I still think he's great.

You know why they don't have better repsonses? It's Bill Clinton's fault.

Dennis Miller is still very funny to me. And I was aghast to hear Norm MacDonald filling in for him and sucking up to Ann the Man Coulter.

Mittens is toast. St. McCain will be their man.

I'll definately be voting for McCain in the primary here.
