I never said any such thing. I would suggest though as others that the threat level is inflated to serve the needs of the fear mongers inflating it. Now if you want to claim al queda is this highly organize entity able to pull off such a vast operation that you also claim our own government would have been too inept to pull off then I'll need some more evidence of that. Got it? The evidence that is. You know other then what your interpretation as to what you saw on TV the morning of 9/11.

Assumptions and lies. Thats what the 9/11 Truth Movement is all about. You truthers must be proud to bring fourth evidence with fake sound effects, butchered quotes and interviews to try and make the greatest tragedy of our country into something that its not.

Why did they destroy the tapes? Well the main reason that i've heard alot of people bring up is that they think is due to the whole torturing prisoners thing. Has nothing to do with a 9/11 cover up. You people are way too paranoid and think the government is the most evil form this planet has ever seen. Yawn.

Why investigate the truth movement? Well, they lie for staters. They misquote people, manufacture their own "evidence", they harrass people, they constantly say were "asleep" for some reason, the list can go on and on, genius.

I'm curious where you got that information from, because mr Zelikow stated the 9/11 commission didn't receive any transcripts from those tapes:

“The commission did formally request material of this kind from all relevant agencies, and the commission was assured that we had received all the material responsive to our request,” said Philip D. Zelikow, who served as executive director of the Sept. 11 commission and later as a senior counselor to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

“No tapes were acknowledged or turned over, nor was the commission provided with any transcript prepared from recordings,” he said.

I implied no such thing. Being that it was the most recorded event in history, I stated it's a good place to start. See also: Bali, Madrid, London, USS Cole, numerous embassy bombings, etc. etc etc.

Of course, it makes total sense that who ever is proping up all of these inflated threats would get caught with their pants down over a single interrogation tape.

Why not? Getting caught with their pants down seems to be a habit for some people. They don't stop trying though do they?

So finding no WMD's in Iraq after a full scale invasion,

No yellow cake uranium and getting caught outing a CIA agent,

Never getting enough evidence on UBL for an indictment after blaming him for 9/11

Finding no uranium enrichment in Iran after Joe Lieberman went around advocating dropping bombs,

Never capturing UBL dead or alive,

Finding out the CIA destroyed evidence they were suppose to provide the 9/11 commission with,

Isn’t getting caught with your pants down?

What's it take for you? Maybe a liquid bomb scare where no actual explosives are found?

They were submitted to the commission as reports. The commission didn't ask for transcripts so they were part of the reports requested. Probably because what would be the point? The main purpose of doing this was to eliminate the interrogation procedures. The commission needed the information about Al Qeada, which they got. Had they decided that they wanted the actual transcripts instead of the reports that included them, they could have asked.

The issue here is the video tapes. Which is a legit argument. Unfortunately it doesn't help the twoofers who want to infer that this means there is an inside job. Because the information wasn't with held, just the format. And while normally the destruction of such tapes would not be a big deal, in this case the 9/11 commission was involved meaning they didn't have the right to destroy the tapes without asking.

But there will always be plenty of idiots around trying to twist this into some kind of conspiracy theory rather than the legal issue it is.
