9/11 Conspirators - Naming Names, List included

Too late for what? Come on, you're making a criminal accusation and you can only "duck and dodge". Pathetic!!!!!

Well, seeing how Myers was on Capital Hill during the attacks, I don't really understand your question. He doesn't get back to the Pentagon until after the attacks.

Do you think Myers had foreknowledge? What would you have expected him to do that the people who scrambled the fighters did not do?

I don't know if Myers had foreknowledge or not. It's worthy of investigation. I would have expected him to suspend his meeting with the Democratic Senator and gotten his ass over to the Pentagon.

Remember this is the climate of increased warnings, in fact, after finally arriving at the Pentagon, there's this little nugget from Myers:

Richard Clarke asks Joint Chiefs of Staff Vice Chairman Richard Myers, “I assume NORAD has scrambled fighters and AWACS. How many? Where?” Myers, who is at the Pentagon, replies, “Not a pretty picture, Dick. We are in the middle of Vigilant Warrior, a NORAD exercise, but… Otis has launched two birds toward New York. Langley is trying to get two up now [toward Washington]. The AWACS are at Tinker and not on alert.” Source

You're too slow. What would he have done had he been at the Pentagon?

Come on...You're already 20 minutes into the reaction time in which you have stated he neglected. Yet, your fingers can not type what his response should have been. Criminal accusations are no small matter. What did he NOT do SPECIFICALLY that he should have done?

We're getting awfully close to the time that he had, now what is the answer?

Post haste! Get to it now, or retract your accusation and apologize to everyone here and send a letter of apology to Gen Myers.

Or should we not scrutinize what might have been deep and dangerous human error, or worse willful negligence and complicity?
Whoops...now you did it. I thought you were accusing Myers of negligence and not complicity. Now I have to apologise to gumboot!

Here's a better idea, Red: Why not accuse the airlines? They were the ones, after all, that didn't have the cockpits secured regardless of what was happening in the passenger cabins. That one simple "human error" (or unforeseeable possibility?) cost the lives of thousands of American citizens.

You seemed to have missed bolding the verb phrase, might have been.

The AWACS are at Tinker and not on alert.”

After you satisfactorily answer the most critical question, answer this one?

Was the AWACS a part of NORAD? Why were they not on alert? Did Clark ask a relevant question?

The Goldwater-Nichols DOD Reorganization Act of 1986 identifies the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff as the senior ranking member of the Armed Forces. As such, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is the principal military adviser to the President. He may seek the advice of and consult with the other JCS members and combatant commanders. When he presents his advice, he presents the range of advice and opinions he has received, along with any individual comments of the other JCS members.

What's disturbing is how how you (and I'll assume other "Truthers") interpret things. The JCS has no, zero, nada, none, etc. authority to issue orders or otherwise Command military forces.

So to get this straight...you feel Myers is somehow culpable because he didn't return to his office, even though he (as JCS) held no authority to do anything?

What a joke.

So he didn't move to the Pentagon quickly enough and that makes him negligent?

In his Commission statement, he explains quite readily what his role was in the chain of command. It doesn't sound like it's what you think it was. He explains that the procedures for dealing with the crisis were already underway by the NMCC once he got to the Pentagon.

Are you suggesting that Myers should have or even could have modified and interrupted the procedures on an ad hoc basis? Now that would be truly negligent.

A hex on you! Don't give him the answers, darnit.

Elephant in the room alert:

“Not a pretty picture, Dick. We are in the middle of Vigilant Warrior, a NORAD exercise"

Ooops.

Are you deliberately avoiding the issue here? Or just acting obtuse?

How was he supposed to suspend a meeting if he did not know what was happening?

Someone has to interrupt the meeting and then warn him first.

Yes or no?

Jesus, the mundane and irrelevant things that some people think are suspicious and 'worthy of investigation' dumbfound me. Hell, let's just investigate EVERYTHING, no matter how far fetched.

Nothing like thinking just because somebody doesn't react in a way that one thinks they should have, after the fact and when any number of plausible non nefarious explanations exist, is suspicious.

Real investigators must LOVE these armchair ones.

Red, your time is up. You have taken more time than you accuse Myers of having because of his meeting on Capitol Hill. According to you Myers is GUILTY of CRIMINAL non-action.

According to you, he would have needed to act under the stress of realizing his Nation is under attack. You, on the other hand, only need to specify what he should have done, (what action) from the comfort of your keyboard.

You have failed to do so in a reasonable time. You spew empty rhetoric, libelous accusations, and empty meaningless words.

In fact, YOU are the criminal, not Myers.

Hay Red,

You don't need to go into hiding. Take your head out of that dark, smelly place and get some fresh air. We'll forgive you as long as you write out a genuine apology. We're very tolerant here if you'll just admit you've made a false accusation and apologize.

Are you man enough to do that and admit you're wrong or are you just another "blowhard" coward?

I could have thought of several other people on that list to accuse of "mild LIHOP" than Myers. That NORAD exercise stuff isn't actually a part of LIHOP, is it? I thought it was the replacement of the fellow on his expected shift at NEADS that they usually use.

But at least RedIbis gave it a shot. Most of the "truthers" will never say who they think did it. "Just asking questions" gets pretty lame after a while.

What is "mild LIHOP"?

It sounds a bit like mildly pregnant. We're talking about extreme criminal negligence, deriliction of duty, and worse complicity. So who would you add to that list?

Your snide "joke" aside, are you actually suggesting that he had no access to a cell phone, direct lines to the WH, the Pentagon, an extensive staff to set up communications?

Snideness is in the eye of the beholder, in this case at least.

I'm suggesting he got where he was supposed to be, and did what he was supposed to do, as soon as practicable.

They aren't called "surprise attacks" because one gets warnings, after all.
