I didn't see all of Gimlin's performance, but what I did see sounded like he was lying and creating yet another version of events.

The truth--- in some frames, Patty does BEND OVER to climb a rise or a log,
and there the anus is seen. In other frames, we do get a rear view, like a
human female, and with the legs open in full stride, the vulva and anus are visible..

Do you see what is visible, or what you want to see? Perv!

Any day now, I fully expect to log in here and see LTC8K6 and Parcher, both claiming that they were in a bigfoot suit for the Patterson-Gimlin film. Why? So they can BE somebody, because it is just not happening fast enough, given the lack of public fame from several years of libelous conduct on this board alone!

Wouldn't we have to claim we were in a bigfoot suit featuring invisibility?

If I wanted to be somebody on the internet I'd make outrageous claims and just keep on going as if I hadn't said anything unusual and as if no one had challenged me.

If I wanted to libel folks, I'd claim that prominent people know about bigfoot, speak about bigfoot, and conceal bigfoot, and that they went to places they did not go. I'd lie about the FBI, too.

It's often claimed that a unique feature of the walking Patty is that the knees don't lock. IOW, the lower leg is never at full extension and could be extended further but is not.

I wonder if the inherent structure of the costume legs are concealing what is going on with the actor's legs. The actor inside the suit may have his knees locked, but the suit knees may still appear to not be locked. Is this feasible?

See me in person, and I'll show you.

Sounds like an updated version of the old pick-up line -- "Come up to my room and I'll show you my sketches."

No, it isn't.

Take a piece of cooked elbow macaroni. Gently insert a toothpick through the noodle as if it were a human leg being put inside a costume leg. Does the noodle become as straight as the toothpick, or does it still retain some of the elbow curve?

.....................

This is simply not true ...

Another piece of oft quoted misinformation, garnered from the half dozen strides seen in the ' turn and look ' ..

The legs are seen to be fully extended in other, not so well scrutinized, frames..

Bob H walks just like that, Grover Krantz could do it for a short distance but Bob walks like that all day long.

Q: Why don't we see any film footage of Bob Gimlin at Bluff Creek?
A: He forgot to bring the wig.

Noted Bigfoot advocate Daniel Perez seems less than enthused by the recent MonsterQuest program, particularly the fact the program claimed that Caddy was examining the ORIGINAL P&G film:

"Like you, I watched this monstrosity disguised as a documentary on our favorite topic, Bigfoot. It was a huge disappointment in my opinion as you really didn't learn anything about the subject matter, just the same old song and dance. Their experts on the P-G Bigfoot film, Owen Caddy and Dr. Daris Swindler... since when, I should ask? Why didn't they interview Chris Murphy, John Green or M.K. Davis to discuss the nuts and bolts of this movie? Murphy, Green and Davis really have a handle on the P-G film. And the producer, Doug Hajicek, whom I met in 2003, did a major disservice to a trusting American television audience by stating, and more than once, that what was being studied was the ORIGINAL Patterson-Gimlin Bigfoot film, when in fact that is not so. They were working with a copy and the whereabouts of the ORIGINAL movie footage is still in question. You, the trusting viewer, were deceived and mislead.

Or, maybe I am wrong. Perhaps the lawyers would liken it to something like this: that was just using a liberal license in filmmaking.

Yet the aforementioned Monsterquest teaser tells us, and I quote: "Monsterquest reveals the truth of legendary monster sightings around the world." Yet somehow you were lied to about the most celebrated film footage of the legendary Bigfoot, the Patterson-Gimlin film. So it begs the question: what else did they tell you that wasn't on the level."
