I was curious if Roberts ran this forum, I guess that he is just the David Koresh or Ron Hubbard around here. He certainly sounds like "an all around good guy."

Hello, Xena. Welcome to the forums. Do you have any questions for me?

I'm curious as to why you chose to compare me to David Koresh and Ron Hubbard. That's certainly a first. :) Can you explain your reasoning to me?

Well, I usually don't congratulate anybody other than those in uniform (Both civil and Military), or thank people for doing the right thing. But, since Mark has, in my eyes, earned a thank you for his efforts and concern with facts and not mindless rhetoric, I will extend a hand in congratulation and a stern "keep up the good work". Hell be happy with that, when I was a fire team leader I made my guys do push-ups, and then tell them good job, when I was proud of them... LOL
Thanks, JMarshall. I just dropped and gave you...one.

Thank you Mark.

I do have many, many questions for you. The most important one involves your signature:

"Toss him in a giant bowl of chocolate pudding and watch him try and eat himself out." –Loose Change's original producer Phil Jayhan, on how to handle me.

Phil Jayhan is the champion of the pod theory... what else could you expect? :)

You didn't like the cult leader status comparison? I thought it was funny. At least I didn't compare you to Phil Jayhan.

You didn't like the cult leader status comparison? I thought it was funny.

Well it wasn't, because humor is supposed to at least have some semblance to reality. You remind me of the woowoos who constantly tried to spout that James Randi was a 'cult leader', simply because we admired his body of work. It was a laughable accusation since if Randi were to tell any fan of his to drink poison Kool Aid he'd be told to go to hell.

You compare the admiration on this thread with the sycophancy aimed at Dylan Avery. Again this is invalid, we admire Gravy for the work he has done. Its not easy being a debunker; a troofer lie can be told in a second whereas debunking it can take pages of writing and days & weeks of research. Gravy has written tons of very gopod material on 911 CT claims, while Avery sits on his soon-to-be-bloated ass and edits videos full of lies while smoking pot and telling everyone how great he is.

So we take a moment to appreciate the hard work Gravy has put into debunking 911 CTs. It does not make us sycophants or cultists, and it is inappropriate to joke about it.

I would suggest you withdraw the remark. It makes you look bad. You'll be more respected around here if you can admit when you are wrong.

now way... the "Do the Hustle" section was hilarious.... I can't stop laughing

I said this over on SLC: I think Alex Jones is a very dangerous man. He is the modern day equivalent of the 30s SA-brute who knows how to downtalk opponents and thrive on the unreflected emotions of the gullible mob around him. He sure packs enough weight to pass for a contemporary Ernst Röhm as well. Give him time, the right circumstances and a critical mass, and he and his followers will soon scribble "OTer" signs on the cars and doors of people who do not agree with them. More serious actions to follow.
That's all ready happened. Some moron in Attelboro Massachusetts spray painted all over the commuter rail line sidewalk 9/11 Truth.

It doesn't bother me. However, I do find it quite curious. Mark Roberts is infamous among my circles, so to see the adoration here surprises me. Some of the comments were funny, but all of it reminded me of the way the Loose Change fan club idolizes boy wonder. It may be different, but it is certainly similar.

As I said no offense intended. I really thought it was a joke...

Xena:

I've known Mark a long time... long before his debunking days began... its funny to think of Mark as "infamous" in any circle - but I don't doubt he is deeply under the skin of certain members of the "truth" movement.

I too find this thread curious as I've never known Mark to seek the praise for his efforts, so I imagine its a bit embarrassing for Mark.

I know Mark to be one of the most honest, generous, patient, passionate, and industrious people I know.

I think, if you take the time to get to know Mark, beyond whatever caricature your "circles" have painted, you will find these things too.

I see no ass-kissing here. I see thanks. I see good natured ribbing. I see his effort being acknowledged.

Thank you for your kind words, but let's keep things in perspective.

Guy who bakes tarts, Googles, and wonders if there isn't a better way to remove cat hair from furniture

Excellent post. It is disgusting that certain segments of the so-called "Truth" movement would deny Mr. Burnett's heroism, some even going so far as to vilify him or his family. We should not lose sight of that.

It's funny because without the Flight 93 crap and particularly the "cellphone calls don't work", I would never have gotten involved in debunking the 9-11 CTs. But that bit made me angry. It's ironic that Dylan has now removed that segment from his film (although whether he has changed his mind on the issue is another question entirely).

And the odder thing is that nowadays I hardly ever spend any time on the Flight 93 woo, which is mostly pushed by Killclown.
