Bigfoot: The Invisible Variety

Bigfoot is a fact of life.

The only fact about bigfoot is the fact that people believe in it.

Other than that, squat.

Playing mind games on the internet in regard to digging up proof of whether a high profile person made comments in regard to Bigfoot, is ludicrous.

Sure... why the hell would someone want evidence of such a great scientific discovery ?

Since you teenagers are not aware of this policy, your logic then kicks in to come to the highly uninformed conclusion that the record does not exist.

You are arguing from ignorance, old man.

I know of several stories, where spelunkers and recreationalists, have entered caves that had a bigfoot present. One in particular was a fairly tight cave, that river runners take their paying customers to see, on the Tuolumne in California. Apparently, one group of customers entered this cave without clearing it out first. And shortly after everyone got in and sat sound, they felt something very hairy brush by them on the way to the exit, in the pitch black cave. They have extraordinary night vision. Afterwards, they developed a new policy of stopping outside the entrance a short ways away, and making noise so that any tenants could safely vacate the cave.
I remember Nixon once talked about something like this happened while he was spelunking. Don't ask, NSA erased all records. I have an über memory that allows me to remember it; my tinfoil hat is impermeable to NSA mind-erasing devices.

Now, seriously...
The "we felt a hairy thing brushing us" are old spelunker tales, used to scare n00bies. Or tourists, as it seems to be the case. And hey, some of them even have a "root"...

Mustelids, marsupials, rodents, bats, plenty of hairy critters visit caves. All of them can be very stealthy. You will suddenly feel something brushing you with or without a slight breeze as the critter walks or fly by you.

Dear Lost in the Ozone Again,
Go back a few pages and start reading. The existing 1984 revised ordinance (post #885) which is not word by word listed on the internet by Skamania County, is nevertheless law regardless of whether it was codiefied or not. Lochnar in post #887 found where it was listed in Skamania County Ordinances. Several claimed that since the ordinance was listed as "not codified", then it was not law. The code is for other things than listing the specific details of ordinances, apparently. This bigfoot ordinance that was originally written in 1969 and then revised in 1984, has been common knowledge amongst bigfooters in the west. It is written about in a number of publications. Even if I were to spend the time to visit the Skamania County courthouse and get a copy of the ordinance, have it scanned and put on the internet, any skeptic could then claim that I fabricated it myself. Using that skeptic type of reasoning, very little accepted knowledge can be proven, because the complaining skeptic would have to be present as the chain of evidence is developed to provide the proof to that individual skeptic. Which is impractical at best. After all, who is going to foot the bill for an endeavor such as this, especially when the skeptic has no authority whatsoever and his entire resume consists of owning both a computer and an internet connection. So some ascertations have to rely on the predominance of evidence, which is the Skamania Ordinance being referenced in their code and the corresponding Ordinance appearing at several locations on the internet. This story is resolved.

This story is not resolved, at least not in your favor. Internet hoaxes and lies can proliferate. So can incomplete or incorrect information. So far, we have a bunch of bigfoot sites copying and pasting a supposed ordinance, and the Skamania county code which does not contain the ordinance, and clearly states in its defining clauses that ALL the county ordinances are contained in that code. If you are going to assert that that ordinance not only existed, but still exists and still is in effect, you need to find it in published form elsewhere than a bigfoot site, or get a confirmation from an official in Skamania County.

Our friend has not figured out that laws must be posted/published/codified to be in effect. If he wishes to educate himself (ha!), he can read this. If not (my money's on this one), he can continue believing that there's a mess of laws he is bound by but he has no access to. Like B. Bunny says: "I've seen better heads on glasses of beer!"

I have a very special device that scares the holy jebus out of bigfoot. It is a can with rocks in it. I shake it violently and shout "YAHHH" before I enter caves.

How do I know it works? I have never had an encounter with the big hairy one yet. Proof positive if you ask me.

Well, it's a Folgers can, so you gotta go over to that Mrs. Olson's house, remember her, the one that's always jazzed up on folgers, and borrow that thingamabob she uses to get inside the can. She'll take all the folgers off your hands, she mainlines the stuff. She likes mountain grown stuff. In fact, she's got some other mountain grown stuff out back she sells, but she uses film cans for that.

Oh NO!

The Internet contains hoaxes and lies?!!!

Tell me it isn't so! :)

And while I'm here, can Historian explain how, even if this ordinance is real, it somehow proves that Bigfoot exists?

There are no well known paranormal researchers of your claimed expertise, that have attained any level of reputation. So we have a bit of a, shall we say, contradiction, to put it politely. And certainly none in Japan.
Of course you haven't heard of me. Try-hards aren't privy to the details of my phenomenal bigfoot exploits. We have tons of paranormal being researchers here in Japan. And our gear rocks. We put you tinfoil guys to bed. Who do you think pioneered the studies on intermittent axial phase shift conjunction dynamics and free spectral bio-rythm crossbanding? Go back to school, Burger.

Kitakaze never claimed to be a paranormal researcher. Anyway, he still isn't Tube no matter what his qualifications or disqualifications may be.
True, I have not claimed to be a paranormal researcher here. I'm sorry, bruto, that I have not done so. There may be serious repercussions involving NSA objectives if someone were to allow you to fully understand such a clandestine situation.

Speaking of which, how is your search for actual documentation on this going? Any luck finding an offical County/State site?

There actually is an ordinance somewhere in Washington although I don't know the County and don't care enough to justify Historians story. He needs to tell my about his roommates first.
