TV news archives likely deleted that segment from their library. I recall seeing Carter make the statements, and then remember that his stint in the White House was just over with. Carter had just returned from a trip overseas about this same time, in regard to welcoming Iranian captives back into U.S. custody. It was an outdoors interview, in Georgia. He was dressed casually. The feds could easily have gone to the people who keep TV news archives, and deleted that brief segment. All in the name of national security. As in, your security or insecurity.
The noise that I have recorded is in a video. I have no plans to post it on the internet.
If you guys want to duplicate it though, please go camping in a remote location and wait for it to get dark. Then you make the same insensitive statements that you made recently on this thread. Then, go to sleep in your tent. You may then get run out of there in the middle of the night, your camp may be demolished with you in it, or we may never hear from you again. Bigfoot are everywhere. This is not an approved method of Bigfoot calling. Low probability of survival without a scratch.
That's very convenient. So you have as testiimony a suppressed news conference that only you remember and a secret recording that only you have heard.
Since Bigfoot are everywhere, and seem not to be fazed by most physical barriers, why must one be camping in a tent? For example, I live well out in the country, and in fact not so far from Whitehall, NY, where some persons allege Bigfoot has touched down. Would the experiment work if I simply uttered out loud, perhaps from my back porch, insensitive and scoffing remarks about the existence and character of bigfoot(s)? If not, why not?
I am serious here. I will happily go out and utter, loudly or softly, insensitive statements impugning the character, existence, and any other aspects of the squatch and his kin that you think might be particularly offensive to one that is listening. I will even be willing to breach rule 8 in the privacy of my woodsy domain. Please let me know what, if any, specific things I should say. I am willing to risk this for the sake of science, but I need your help to do it right.
Oh, an afterthought: since many if not most people think that sasquatches are nonexistent, and I venture to guess that most would consider the observation that they are paranormal the utterances of a crackpot, and since Jimmy Carter was already taking a lot of heat for various things he had uttered, what reasonable motive would there be for the vast and troublesome operation of deleting his statement from the archives, considering the great possibility that someone unknown, somewhere, might have it on video tape? I realize that economy and efficiency are anathema to conspiracy theorists, but I still have to ask, why bother?
